Only through Jesus can our sins be forgiven. Through His blood our sins are washed clean. He only requires that we come to Him. He desires that we repent and ask for His forgiveness. If we ask with a sincere heart the Lord will forgive us. He will start a mighty work in our heart. He will help us do the necessary things to root out the sin. Overtime the love for the sin will be replaced by His love. We will become much closer to the Lord in prayer. We will have a desire to study the Bible. We will have a desire to fellowship with other believers at Church. We will have a desire to love one another. We will have a desire to witness His truth to others.
Without Jesus’s sacrifice we’d have to pay the price for our own sin. We’d have to feel anguish and pain. Anyone that is a slave to sin will continually feel pain for their sin in this life and the next unless he repents. For the wages of sin is death. Eternal life is given to all that have been forgiven. Give your whole heart to Jesus. Don’t hold anything back. If you truly want to make it to heaven then make an effort to change your life. Come to Him today and give your sin to the Lord through repentance. Give your guilt and shame to the Lord. That you may feel His forgiveness. The Lord will bless you and help you overcome temptation.
The Lord has changed my life. I was once a wicked sinner that had a heart set upon sexual sin and other self-gratifying things in this world. I lived for the moment. My joy was never full. I had tried many times to change on my own and was never able to. It wasn’t until I desired to follow Jesus that I was able to change. When I fell down on my knees pleading for His forgiveness and mercy did I feel His grace come upon me. I gave my whole heart to Him. The upcoming days and weeks my desire for that sin and worldly pleasures slowly subsided. Then as time went by, and as I walked in the Lord, the sin was no longer in me. Jesus had taken away the sin. He had forgiven me and I was finally free. The Lord is so merciful and kind. I owe all to Him.
12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts.
13 And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.
20 For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.
21 What fruit did you have then in the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.
22 But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life.
23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
