We Are Alive In Jesus

What does it mean to be alive in Jesus?  It means giving up a life of sin.  It means letting go of our lusts.  It means putting aside fleshly appetites that only bring destruction.  Our hearts are turned from evil and we desire a change from within.  For we know that only Jesus can change us.  That through His mercy we can be healed.  That Jesus is enough to break us free from bondage.  That He has found favor upon us because of His grace.  That we can be made alive in Him.  We are richly blessed by his kindness towards us.

Once we are made alive in Jesus we will desire to seek His Holy Spirit in our lives.  That each day we might be guided by Him in all of our ways.  That our life would be a representation of our love for Him.  That His love would burn in our soul.  That we can be awakened by His love.  That our heart may be centered on Him.  We are so thankful that Jesus set us free from bondage.  All we want to do is praise Him.  For we are born again in Him.  We are no longer under captivity.  All our chains are broken.  Our hearts are healed.  Our lives are committed to Him.

I love you Lord.  You have breathed new life in me.  My desire for sin has been replaced by your love.  I love your presence.  I know that you are right there next to me when I seek you in prayer.  I am grateful to be called a servant of my Mighty King.  I pray that you may always give me strength to overcome temptation.  That I may be renewed in your Holy Spirit each day.  That I may have boldness in sharing your truth with others.  That I can always be made alive in You.  For your love is most important to me.

Ephesians 2:1-7
1 And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins,
2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience,
3 among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,
5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),
6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
