Put Aside Your Sins For Jesus

Commit today to follow Jesus. Put Him above all things. Make Him your prize possession in life. Put aside your addictions. Repent and fully come to Jesus so that He may give you a clean heart. Come back to the Lord and ask Him for forgiveness. Put aside your lusts. When we seek the Lord and His presence our cravings will be met in God. Put aside your greed. When we desire the Lord’s kingdom our earthly treasures won’t mean as much. Put aside your envy. When we desire to follow Jesus and be like Him we won’t have a desire to be like anyone else. Put aside your anger. When we seek God’s love he will calm our raging heart. Put aside your slothfulness. When we commit to God we will desire to witness His truths and go where the Lord leads. Put aside your gluttony. When we hunger and thirst for righteousness earthly things won’t be as important. Put aside your pride. When we put our trust in God we will believe more in Him than ourselves.

Lord, I will follow you. I put aside my old life and am committed to You.  I ask for your forgiveness so that my life may be renewed in your love. In all my ways guide me on your path, that your love will touch many lives. I will do whatever it takes to keep you in my heart, for your love is amazing. It is worth seeking. It is worth finding. It is well worth it when You are in my heart. Your love sustains me when life is hard. Your grace gives me hope to live another day better than today. I will strive to put aside the lusts of the flesh. I will desire more of you and not money. If I envy anything it will be You lord for I desire to follow You. I want to always be caught up in Your love. I will go where you want me to go Lord. For I hunger and thirst for You. All truth can be found in You. May I continue to grow in Your love each day. When times are hard may I not be troubled or dismayed. For You will give me strength. You will give me peace. I love You Lord.

Mark 7:17-23 (NKJV)
17 When He had entered a house away from the crowd, His disciples asked Him concerning the parable.
18 So He said to them, “Are you thus without understanding also? Do you not perceive that whatever enters a man from outside cannot defile him,
19 because it does not enter his heart but his stomach, and is eliminated, thus purifying all foods?”
20 And He said, “What comes out of a man, that defiles a man.
21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
22 thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness.
23 All these evil things come from within and defile a man.”
