Jesus Is Alive

The death of our Savior had to be one of the hardest things to ever bear witness too. The people who loved Jesus had to see their King get crucified. He told them it had to be done but that didn’t alleviate the pain they felt in their hearts. Their beloved Son of God was being hung for them on the cross. Tears were shed and hearts were broken. All seemed to be lost until the day that Jesus rose from the dead. Mary was one of the first to see Him alive. She had gone to the tomb to pay her respects only to find the tomb open. Her heart was torn and she couldn’t stop weeping for she feared that someone had taken the Lord’s body. Then all her fears ended when the Lord appeared to her and called her by name. Once she heard His voice she knew it was Him. What an amazing moment that would have been to see the resurrected Lord.

Jesus showed us so much love by dying for us all. It was an offering that I will never be so grateful. Through His blood my sins are forgiven. I am redeemed and washed clean because of His sacrifice. I have a new life because He saved me. I am so grateful for the cross. I know that Jesus is my Savior. I know that He died and was resurrected three days later. He overcame death for He is a God of miracles. We can find confidence since our God is alive. He appeared to Mary, His disciples and many other people after His resurrection. We can also be assured that we will see Him again. All those that knew Him and followed Him in this life will one day be resurrected to eternal life. We will see Him in all His Glory. Oh Lord, my soul sings Hallelujah to your Name. I am so honored to worship my resurrected Lord. I have hope because of your death and resurrection. I can’t wait to one day see You and wrap my arms around You. I love You!

John 20:11-17
11 But Mary stood outside by the tomb weeping, and as she wept she stooped down and looked into the tomb.
12 And she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.
13 Then they said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping?” She said to them, “Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid Him.”
14 Now when she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, and did not know that it was Jesus.
15 Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?” She, supposing Him to be the gardener, said to Him, “Sir, if You have carried Him away, tell me where You have laid Him, and I will take Him away.”
16 Jesus said to her, “Mary!” She turned and said to Him, “Rabboni!” (which is to say, Teacher).
17 Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’”
