Awake To The Lord

Awake from slumber, all you that are content with your lives. It is one thing to have things but another to put it before God. Anything that gives more of your attention to it other than God is wasteful. It is degrading God for He is most important. Let us not be associated with things that take away valuable time from Him. Control your passions. Don’t let your lusts take hold of how you think and act. If you are addicted to something, now is the time to change. There are many sins that will keep us out of the presence of God. Restitution with God is necessary. Come back to Him for no one knows the time of the Lord’s coming. Give your life over to the Lord that His mercy will fall upon you. Seek His forgiveness and you are made clean. Let Him loose the chains that have you bound and give you a new life. There is eternal joy in the Lord. Don’t take these things loosely for those that delay this change at His coming will be cast out forever. If you proclaim to believe in Jesus but live a contrary life you will one day have a place in Hell.

Awake your soul to follow the Lord. Let His will be done each day of your lives. The Lord expects more of His followers than just Sunday worship. We are to seek Him daily and follow His teachings. Come to Him in daily prayer. Develop a relationship with the Lord. Follow His counsel in your life. Read the Bible daily that it may be fresh in your mind. Live by the Word of God. Let it be a map in the way you live your life. Stand up for its truths. Do service for one another. Think outside yourself. If we love God we will love one another. Living a life of faithfulness means more than just belief. We need to live out our faith. Believing in God means living to follow Him. Prepare this day to meet God. If you have unresolved sins, repent. If you truly have a change of heart than seek the Lord’s forgiveness. Let God purify your thoughts and minds. No longer walk in sin but walk with God. When the Lord comes to greet His faithful we will inherit eternal life in His Father’s Kingdom. We will be called blessed.

Matthew 24:45-51 (KJV)
45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.
48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;
49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;
50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

  1. Thank you. It’s important we don’t try and take advantage of his grace. It is meant to change us, not make us content with being good enough or apathetic of his desire for our life. We must be vigilant to the end.
