Conform To God’s Will

The things the world deems necessary, if it doesn’t conform to God’s will, will only bring us heartache. All joy is temporary unless it is founded on the Lord. Sin feeds on our flesh until it has overcome us. We no longer think clearly for we have become slaves to our own bodies. Satisfying our lusts takes precedence. To overcome sin is to forsake a lifestyle of self-indulgence. It means giving up ourselves to the Lord. Our heart is given to Him as an offering. It is life changing and takes commitment. If we might let the Lord into our lives, through prayer, we will finally be rid of addiction. Our thoughts will be made clean. Our minds will be set on others and not ourselves. Seek the Lords love and you will be satisfied. His love is like a cool breeze in a hot sunny day. It feels amazing and cools our raging hearts.

As children of God we are to be a light to the world. God’s countenance will shine bright in our lives. The Lord’s righteousness will take root in our hearts. Our choices will be conformed to His will. If someone tries to tempt us with alcohol, drugs or pornography we will find ways to resist. With Jesus in our life we will have strength to overcome sin. The evil one is no match to the Lord for He is mighty. We are protected for Jesus is our shield. He lifts us up when we are week. He carries us through trials. If we continue to seek Him in prayer we will be guided by His hands. We will walk in His ways and find wisdom. Our sights are set on God for He gives us happiness that cannot be compared. Commit to following the Lord. Build your life on His principles. Find comfort in Him for He is alive in us.

Daniel 1:8-15,17,19,20
8 But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s delicacies, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the chief of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.
15 And at the end of ten days their features appeared better and fatter in flesh than all the young men who ate the portion of the king’s delicacies.
17 As for these four young men, God gave them knowledge and skill in all literature and wisdom; and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.
19 Then the king interviewed them, and among them all none was found like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah; therefore they served before the king.
20 And in all matters of wisdom and understanding about which the king examined them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers who were in all his realm.
