The Lord Knows All

Some things may seem impossible in our minds but nothing is too hard for the Lord. He holds the universe in His hands. All things were created by Him. He is the greatest architect of all. If He declares it, it is done. His creation has no end. By His words the heavens and earth were created. He is perfect in all His ways. His mercy is extended to all that believe on Him. He is the one person we can trust among all people. He will never let us down. He will be there till the end. He will send the Spirit to guide and direct our lives. We may falter in life but He will help us get right back up. Through the Lord’s forgiveness, we can be cleansed from sin. We may have struggled with an addiction for many years and think it’s impossible to cut its cords. All this depends on how deep we want to be with the Lord. If we engage with God often in prayer our hearts will be knit with Him. If we engage on occasion in prayer, His words won’t be in us and we will stay stagnant on our progression. Those that truly desire to follow the Lord will seek His hand often. When He calls their name they will respond. His counsels are wise and bring about many blessings.

When the Lord and His messengers told Abraham about His future son, “Sarah laughed within herself”, saying, “After I have grown old, shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?”. She didn’t believe God was all powerful. All she could do was laugh for it was impossible in her mind to have a child at her age. However, the Lord was not pleased and told Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh, saying, ‘Shall I surely bear a child, since I am old?’ Is anything too hard for the Lord”. She surely didn’t understand who God really was. He is all powerful and all knowing. After all this Sarah denied her laughter, saying “I did not laugh, for she was afraid.” However, the Lord knows all and said to her, “No, but you did laugh!” He knows everything we are thinking and feeling inside. We may not think it impacts the Lord but it does. He can see how we truly feel for Him deep down in our hearts. If we love God, we will believe and trust in Him always. Oh Lord, I give my heart to You. When I am hurting inside you give me peace. Even when times are hard I will never give up on You. I have freedom in your Name. I lift my eyes to You, Lord. I praise and honor You.

Genesis 18:9-15
9 Then they said to him, “Where is Sarah your wife?” So he said, “Here, in the tent.”
10 And He said, “I will certainly return to you according to the time of life, and behold, Sarah your wife shall have a son.” (Sarah was listening in the tent door which was behind him.)
11 Now Abraham and Sarah were old, well advanced in age; and Sarah had passed the age of childbearing.
12 Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, “After I have grown old, shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?”
13 And the Lord said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh, saying, ‘Shall I surely bear a child, since I am old?’
14 Is anything too hard for the Lord? At the appointed time I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.”
15 But Sarah denied it, saying, “I did not laugh,” for she was afraid. And He said, “No, but you did laugh!”
