In God I Trust

When times are hard we need to put our trust in God. We may see no way to get out of our current predicament but He always has a way. He can see what lies before us. He knows the best road to travel. He knows the best words to say. If we let the Lord make a way for us He will give us strength to do the right thing. Our path will be made straight before Him. Sometimes the best thing isn’t always the most comfortable things to do but it is what God expects of us. Abraham, was scared for his life when visiting with the king Abimelech, so he asked his wife to tell him she was his sister. Everything seemed right in his own eyes since they’d for sure be safe. However, this back fired on Abraham after the Lord appeared to Abimelech and told him that she was his wife. As you can tell he wasn’t happy with Abraham. Abraham had to really explain himself to get out of this one. As we seek the Lord, we can avoid these types of mishaps. We will have no need to fear for the Lord is with us. The Lord will fight for our cause. If God is with us we will not be shaken. His promises never fail.

We must think before we act. If the Lord is with us in prayer, our decisions will be upright before Him. The best thing to do in life is trust in God. What we may think is an awful situation may not be so dreadful after all. The Lord knows all things and He will be there for us if we let Him. Do we put more trust in our own self more than God? Do we ask others for counsel more often than God? Are you lacking in your prayer time with the Lord? If you answered yes to any of these things then rethink of how the Lord fits in your life. We must all develop a relationship with the Lord to be saved. It takes more than just words. We must live a life for Jesus. We must give our hearts freely to Him. He holds the keys to our salvation. Oh Lord, you are everything to me. You have my heart. I love your presence. When you speak to my heart I am overjoyed. I love your counsel. You are wise beyond compare. I seek You in prayer for I am in need of your love. Your words fill my heart with gladness. My hope is secure in You Jesus. I trust in you above all things. I live my life to follow You.

Genesis 20:2,9-13
2 Now Abraham said of Sarah his wife, “She is my sister.” And Abimelech king of Gerar sent and took Sarah.
9 And Abimelech called Abraham and said to him, “What have you done to us? How have I offended you, that you have brought on me and on my kingdom a great sin? You have done deeds to me that ought not to be done.”
10 Then Abimelech said to Abraham, “What did you have in view, that you have done this thing?”
11 And Abraham said, “Because I thought, surely the fear of God is not in this place; and they will kill me on account of my wife.
12 But indeed she is truly my sister. She is the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother; and she became my wife.
13 And it came to pass, when God caused me to wander from my father’s house, that I said to her, ‘This is your kindness that you should do for me: in every place, wherever we go, say of me, “He is my brother.”’”

  1. This is my story… I was in so much trouble and fear of the upcoming loan payment collection day. It was two days before that day that tried to seek financial help with family and friends and no one would extend their arms for me. I was so stressed and worried and my wife and I started to argue about things. Its that moment when I prayed to God for help and faithfully surrendered myself. I badly needed a push but the Lord lift me up! A friend from half across the world in Angola helped me. I was amazed and wonder how God’s miracle could happened in His perfect timing. Praise and glory to you Lord!
