My Lord, My Hero

Jesus is my hero. He is dear to my heart. I admire Him above all for He is the Savior of the world. The Lamb of God went willingly to be sacrificed on the cross because of His great love for us. He suffered and felt all of our pains. He knows exactly how we feel when we are afflicted. His blood was shed to redeem us of all our transgressions. There is no one else that loves us the same. I am blown away by His compassion. I follow the Lord for He is our greatest example of a life to live. He is holy and I want that in my life. I pray that the more I seek the Lord the more I learn of Him. His ways are just and true. This is the life I desire. I trust in Jesus because He is the light that guides my life. I know salvation is in His hands. All those that are on the Lords side will be saved. He will prepare a place in heaven for all that believe in Him.

I take pride in knowing Jesus by reading the Bible. His words impact my life, each day that I read. I meditate on His message of hope for it lifts me up. He gives me counsel and helps me make better decisions. He always has the best intentions for me. I can’t think of anyone else that is always there for me. There is only one person that will never let us down and that is Jesus. We can look up to so many people in this life but no one will impact us like the Lord. We can trust in Him for He will never leave us behind. What a privilege it is to worship my heavenly King. He lives and I want more of Him in my life. Oh Lord, I long to know You better. As much as You know me I want to know You. Teach me how to walk in your ways. You are my good Shepherd. Lead me to your heavenly home. I will go where ever You lead me. I praise You. I love You.

1 Peter 2:21-25 (KJV)
21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:
23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:
24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
25 For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.
