Seek The Kingdom Of God

Seek the kingdom of God first in your lives. Jesus is the way to eternal happiness in this life and the life to come. Do you know this personally in your life? Have you been born again into His love? Can you see Jesus in your daily walk? If you can’t answer yes to these questions than your heart isn’t in the right place. Your treasure is apart from God. If we have idols in our lives that are taking our time away from Him, we must cast them out. Do all you can to draw nearer to God and less on things your flesh desires. We can either have temporary pleasure with things we gain throughout life or find eternal fulfillment in the Lord presence. Those that experience this great joy are not happy because of what the world gives them but what God gives them daily. There treasures are not laid up on earth but in heaven. They know that “neither moth nor rust doth corrupt” their blessings stored in heaven. Jesus taught us how to pray and said, “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” Seek first His kingdom and the Holy Spirit will abide in You. The Lord will “lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil” when His kingdom is first in our lives.

It is our treasures we store up in life that defines where our heart is. We are either full of darkness because of the idols, sins and other worldly habits in our lives or our walk is in the light of Christ. Jesus taught that “if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness.” Walking a part from God is darkness. Seek ye this day to make Jesus the King of your life. Instead of seeking what your flesh craves seek what your spirit needs. What we need is daily devotion with God in prayer. In this we can become one with the Lord. Our hearts and minds can become one in true worship to our God. Reading the Bible will help us know His will. The Holy Spirit will work through us and shine bright in our lives. Jesus said, “The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.” Oh Lord, my eyes are single to thy glory. I desire your light to be in my life always. Lead me not into temptation but deliver me from evil. Thine is “the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever” You are the rock upon which I stand. I don’t need worldly things to make me happy. My happiness comes from You. I love You.

Matthew 6:10,13,19-23 (KJV)
10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!
