Follow Jesus And Sin Not

We are saved through faith by the grace of God. 3“It is the gift of God. Not of works, lest any man should boast”. But 2“shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid.” Though we are a sinner it does not give us a right to sin. If we truly believe in Jesus than our hearts are given to do His will and not the lusts of the flesh. We all fall short in life, but when we seek the Lord He picks us right back up. It is better for us to live in the light of Christ than the darkness of the world. All those in Christ are a new creation. They no longer walk in sin but 2“walk in newness of life”. If you say you are a believer in Christ but live in sin then your faith is dead. Can you say you love Jesus but also deny Him by your works of wickedness? We can’t be for Him and against Him at the same time. We must be all in it for Jesus. What is in your heart is where your true love resides. Only those that have been washed clean through the blood of the Lamb will be forgiven. These people are saved for they have turned from their wickedness to Jesus. Following Him means more than all the world could ever offer. Salvation in God’s kingdom is a greater reward than all the drugs, alcohol, sex and money. If you are breaking God’s laws then there will be a reckoning for your evil deeds in hell unless you repent. If there is sin and shame in your life then give it all to Jesus. Let Him cut down the chains that have you bound. 1Call upon His Name in prayer. Tell Him sorry for what you’ve done. Ask for forgiveness and mercy. In your moment of distress give it all to the Lord. Make things right with God with sincerity of heart. Trust in Him, that He may do a work in your life.

Jesus loves you. He paid the price for our sins on the cross that we might be forgiven. He gave us a chance to live again if we believe and follow Him. Though we are a sinner, he takes us in and teaches us His ways of righteousness. It doesn’t matter what we’ve done, all can be forgotten because of His love. He is ever so patient for us in our walk with Him. Seek to do His will and He will make you stronger. He will be there with you, along the way. Make a place for the Lord, in your everyday life, that He may guide you. Direct your thoughts to Him and He will teach you and give you wise counsel. He is able to instruct us in His ways if we listen. 3“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” Our walk with the Lord will lead us to do great things. Our love for the Lord and our neighbor will increase. The things of this world will be less important than the love for one another. 4It is our faith that leads us to do good things, for Jesus lives in us. When we walk blindly through life we are unstable but with Him we are able to think clearly. People may have ways to live a better life but if it isn’t God’s will than it doesn’t please Him. For this reason, it is essential that we read the Bible to know His intents for us. And when we know them, He asks us to walk in them. To not just understand what He wants but act on it.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, It is a great joy to follow You. Sin has no meaning to me. It only brings me misery. I need a love that never ends. This can only be found in You. Your ways are good. Thank You for Your mercy. Thank You for taking me in. I devote my life to You. I love You. Amen.
