Evangelize: Arlington Drive Follow-Up

It is always a wonderful time to share the love of Jesus with others. Not only does it help the lost get on the path of the straight and narrow but it also encourages my walk in the faith. Every day I share the gospel, my belief in God grows. I am developing a greater understanding of the greatness of God’s work on the earth. His ways are becoming more clear as I walk with Him. When I see the fruit of my labors I give honor to the Lord for using me for His greater good. I could never do it on my own but the Holy Spirit that is within me. Tonight was so good to just go out and knock some doors. We prayed that doors would be opened and hearts would be softened and God prepared the way. The first gentlemen was an older man that was so kind to talk to us for a few minutes. In the time we had, he told us that three weeks ago he gave his life to Jesus. He said he wasn’t getting any younger and knew Jesus is the way to heaven. You could see his excitement in the choice he made to be saved. He was thrilled that he was finally on God’s path. I am encouraged by his first steps in following Jesus. I am grateful for his willingness to put God first in his life. I pray for him and his family. That they may all come to know Jesus and desire to follow Him. I also pray that they may have the health they need. There is sickness in his home and we pray that God’s healing power will come down and heal them from their infirmities. I know that God can do all things. For this I pray that God will watch over them.

Our next home was Victor’s. Tonight we had Chase with us and he was excited to meet him. Upon knocking on the door, Victor came outside and was surprised to see us. He couldn’t believe that we cared for him so much. As we started talking, he asked Chase what his addictions were in the past. In which he spent some time talking about his alcohol addiction. How after fifteen years of not believing he could be free from it, God did a miracle in his life and he was cured. All it took was his trust in God and belief that he could do all things. In a matter of three weeks, his addiction was gone and his focus was on the Lord. Victor took courage on what he said. If he can change than Victor could as well. Both of them really bonded tonight. It was really awesome to see them relate. Before we left, I read from Psalm 4. The verses just related so much to what Victor was going through and I know that the Holy Spirit touched his heart that very hour. As we were saying his goodbyes we decided to pray together and to pray for healing for his back. So we asked God to bring healing to his body and to help him come out of his addictions and draw closer to the Lord. Our time was so amazing and what is even better is that he wants me to pick him up for church on Sunday. Thank You Lord for bringing a change in Victor’s life. His outlook on life is so much better. He looked much happier. I know that only You could do this for Him. Thank You for allowing us to find him and help show him the way. I love You.

1Psalm 4:1-8 (KJV)
1 Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.
2 O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how long will ye love vanity, and seek after leasing? Selah.
3 But know that the Lord hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the Lord will hear when I call unto him.
4 Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.
5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the Lord.
6 There be many that say, Who will shew us any good? Lord, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us.
7 Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased.
8 I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety
