The Lord Is Our Strength

Jesus is our deliverer. He is our shelter in the storms. When no one else is there, He is. He is ever present and ever listening. He is our friend and will never let us down. There is nothing like His love. His arms are outstretched to receive the lost. He runs to embrace anyone that comes to Him. No matter our multitude of sins, He takes them all upon Him. Give everything to Jesus and you will be made stronger. David needed God’s deliverance when He prayed, 1“But be not thou far from me, O Lord: O my strength, haste thee to help me.” Though the powers of darkness were great He trusted in God to save him. Jesus wasn’t just someone he prayed to but his darling. His love ran through his veins. For this reason he declared, 1“I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.” The Lord is worthy of all honor and praise. 1“Ye that fear the Lord, praise him.” Understand that His wrath is upon the wicked who don’t repent but His love is upon the sinner who is made righteous in Him. Let this knowledge drive you to live for Him and not the world. Only through Jesus Christ can we be saved. All other ways will lead to destruction. Stand firm in the One who gives life and also takes it away.

When you feel glad, praise the Lord. Lift up the name of Jesus in song and worship. God does so much for us. We ought to acknowledge Him when things are good and when things are bad. When you feel sad, cry out to the Lord. He has power to calm your broken heart. If you give Him your all, He will give you new life. The more you seek the Lord the less distant He will become. When you need Him, He will be there. All it takes is true faith in the Lord Jesus. 2“If God be for us, who can be against us?” Those that love the Lord are delivered from temptation and strife. The Lord has become my safety net in hard times. I can always find Him when times are most difficult. In sin, it is the best assurance of all to know that He still loves me. In repentance, I can feel His sweet mercy and grace. My soul cries out and He listens.

Let us pray:
Thank You Lord for hearing my prayers. You are my strength and my shield. Time and again, You come and rescue me. You never let me down. For this, I declare Your great Name to all the world. Help me to love on them as You love me. May your love flow from me into them. Help the lost be found. You are the way to eternal life. I praise You above all. I love You. Amen.
