Following Jesus Brings True Joy

God is the reason why I am so joyful. He brings peace to my heart even when all seems lost. He brings comfort to my soul when I am sick. I need rest from this world we live in and He allows me to abide in Him. He openly allows me entrance into His presence. In the Lord, the weights on my shoulders feel lighter. My hearts desires are turned over to Jesus and He fills me with love. My flesh desires for something new and exciting and God is the only person that does this without it expiring. The world just offers me a taste of something that appears good on the outside. It even tastes good but the taste fades away quickly. The worst part is my conscience is aware of the lifestyle I am living and it only leaves me in shame. My guilt is peaked and I wish I hadn’t ever done it in the first place. These thoughts bring us down. We enjoy the feeling we get in the moment but not the feeling we get there after. The difference is, God gives us eternal joy. As we walk in His light there is much happiness and our conscious is free. There is no consequence for the good we are doing for the Lord. It is always joyful to be with the Lord. May the 1“God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.”

The Lord teaches us to follow Him and do His will. We are weak but He makes us stronger. Each day that we seek Him we are able to do good works through Him. God sees His faithful servants and is grateful for their diligence in doing good towards Him and their neighbor. He knows things can get rough but to not give up. 2“Let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap.” Those that lived for Him will be blessed not only on earth but in heaven. Go forth and love one another as Jesus loves you. Bring forth fruit for the Kingdom of God. 2“As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.” Love not only the lost but those in the faith. Lead people to know Jesus and to follow Him. Even those in the faith need the nourishment of the Word of God for their relationship with God to grow. May the Holy Spirit speak through you. May God use you to bring for His gospel message to the world.

Let us pray:
Our Father in heaven, You are so gracious and kind. Thank You for fulfilling my needs. I was so lost trying to find joy in all the wrong places. Finally I have true happiness that doesn’t end. Your peace helps me get through the hard times. Thank You for caring so deeply for me. I love You. Amen.
