What Are You Excited About?

Many times we are excited for a basketball game, a new movie, or a new phone. Finally the season has arrived and all of our favorite players are on the court. This new movie is the hit movie of the year and you are so thrilled to see it that you can hardly stand still. The new phone is going to be a game changer and you have to have it. You got to be the first one to show it off to your friends. These events bring excitement in the air. People watch videos online to get ready for the event. They read articles in order to talk about it amongst their friends. Then when the event occurs, it is all people can talk about. This is the world we live in. A time when people are more excited with living in the world than living for God. There just isn’t that fire in people’s hearts for God anymore. The message of the cross of Jesus is the most amazing message and often times it falls upon deaf ears. Where are people’s hearts now a days? If Jesus returned today would He be happy with how many are excited to live for Him? Now ask yourself if your life is excited for the kingdom of God or other things. This life is fun but what brings lasting happiness into one’s heart is the gospel. Sharing the good news will invigorate your soul. His light may have been burnt out a while ago but it can be lit again. Find the presence of God in your life through prayer and Bible study and it will be a glorious time to be on His side, winning souls for His kingdom.

There is power in the Name of Jesus. Lives are being healed. Sickness is being cured daily. Sins are being forgiven. Stains are washed away. If you desire to carry the message of Jesus Christ in your heart than you will be filled with the Holy Spirit. His power will come upon you. You may have felt an excitement for things of the world but the thrill that Jesus will put in your heart is lasting. His love will penetrate your hearts and change your life. 1The Bible teaches us to be born again. Only those that have done so are saved in the Kingdom of God. These are those that have a relationship with Jesus. He is in their lives. To do God’s will means more than anything else. The best part is it is brings eternal joy. We aren’t just workers for His kingdom but also living the life for Him. 3Happiness swells in our breasts and brings us to share it with others. We can’t hold it in any more. We can’t hold back our smiles any longer. All the world needs to know about God’s treasure in our lives. It is life saving and everyone deserves to know about it. We do research in the Bible to better share God’s message with others. We go to the source of truth for the Lord’s teachings. Then after much prayer we just go out and open our mouths. We know the Spirit will touch people’s lives. Working in God’s kingdom is the greatest thing in life. It is also missing among many so-called Christians. If you are one of them, then let God light a fire in your soul. What He offers is much greater than what the world can give.

Let us pray:
Lord God, take all my energy for things of this world and use it for Your kingdom. Light a fire in my soul. If I haven’t given You my time, I am sorry. Take me in Lord. Use me for Your will. Poor on me your glorious presence. You are my rock. Help me to walk by faith. May your light shine bright in my life that others may see. I desire that others see the hope in my life and where to find it. Help me to witness to them through the Spirit. 2You are the way, the truth and the life. You bring meaning to my soul. May more people come to know this. I lift You up in praise. You bring me great joy to serve You. I love You. Amen.
