The Joy Of Serving The Lord

My heart rejoices for Jesus is with me. In the harvest of God, my heart is beaming with hope and amazement at what God can do through me. His presence has filled the atmosphere, this night. I stand amazed at the power of God to change lives. Never have I been so happy then I am now. It is all because of the goodness of our great God. Because of everything the Lord has done for us, I stand a new person. My old life is done away and I am born again in the Spirit. My desires have been changed to do the will of God and share His gospel message. I am so thankful for Jesus. He is my Savior and Friend. It is because of His mercy that we can all be saved. No matter what our current beliefs are. No matter how far deep we are in sin. Jesus loves us and can pull us out of any situation that has us bound. We may not be capable of changing on our own but Jesus can through us. I give thanks for those people I talked to tonight. God did a miracle in their lives and I give Him all the glory. One couple was into paganism but thanks to God, the woman I talked to is now interested in reading the Bible. After sharing the gospel with her, I could see a change in her heart. Her will to pray and follow Jesus was increased. She even accepted a Bible. Praise God. What an amazing experience, in the service of the Lord.

So many seeds were planted and lives were changed because God opened the doors. The Lord has done great things through me simply because I was willing and open to His counsel. These are times that He can do great miracles in us and through us. This young man, we encountered, was an example of God’s great love. He saw his humble heart and openness and led him to us. All we needed to do was act in God’s will and open our mouths. The Holy Spirit did the rest and the gospel message of Jesus and the cross was shared. At first, he was in a hurry but then as we spoke about the importance of believing in Jesus for salvation, he sat on his bike and listened. Then Kevin approached him and asked if he would be willing to give his life to Jesus. The boy said, “I’d be willing”. Then Kevin, asked if he would pray with us and ask God into his heart. In which, he said, he would. So we put our arms around each other and Kevin began helping him through the prayer. During the prayer, the young man asked the Lord to come into his life and to forgive his sins. Praise the Lord. Nothing we could ever say, could have led him to commit his life to Jesus but the Spirit was able to, through us. What an amazing time it is to serve the Lord and be a worker for His harvest. It is truly a joyful time to be a servant of God.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, thank You for using us, your humble servant, to do Your will, tonight. We simply opened our mouths and you filled them. Thank You for using us to bring more souls to Your kingdom. I rejoice for Your goodness and grace. Thank You for giving people an opportunity to be saved. We are all fallen people but You have chosen to look past our faults and welcome us in. Only You can change our evil hearts and make them new. You love us so much, as to forgive our sins when we falter. I am so grateful to serve such a loving God. You amaze me, each day that You forgive me and have mercy upon me. You continue to do great things for me and through me. I cherish every moment You are with me. I love You. Amen.
