Sexual Purity

The Lord loves us so much. His love is shown in so many areas of our lives. We can witness this love when our minds and hearts are for Him. Our daily walk yields light abundant. There is no room for darkness for Jesus is in our midst. Paul taught, 2“ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more.” Each day that we seek the Lord in prayer, we are filled by way of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit of God leads us to walk with a clean conscience before God. Our thoughts are set on what is good. Because our hearts aren’t abounding in the world, we are shielded from temptation. Our desires to lust upon the flesh is replaced with desires to honor the Lord. 2“This is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication.” He does not want us to be weakened in the flesh. He wants us to be strong in the Spirit of God. Sexual purity is strived for and manifested in all true believers of Jesus Christ. There are ways this becomes natural for them. For one, they are continually given over to reading the Bible daily and two, they pray often. Being in the presence of God is what will keep us in His holiness. 2“Every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour.” Our bodies are not to be toyed with but to be lived out in honor to our God in heaven.

As Christians, we ought to live apart from the wickedness of the world and in the Spirit of God. We can’t walk in sin and also walk with God. Our hearts need to be for the King of glory in order to live. Love the sinner but hate the sin. Rather walk in the holiness of God then to be wrapped up in the guilt and shame that accompanies sin. Walk 2“not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God.” Our lives are testimonies to the lost that they can be saved also. If we can be made free from our addictions then they have as much of a chance to beat their addictions as well. There lust can be replaced by clean thoughts if they repent and let the Lord change them from within. We can try to do good all we want to but we will just continue to stumble and fall if God isn’t leading us. 1Pray that you may be born again, that without even thinking, your desires are to do God’s will. If the Lord is with you, nothing can stop the work of God in your lives. 2“God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.” Live up to His calling, in your life, and you will be able to walk in His light. All those that despise this way of life, are living a lie. I pray that before judgement is handed down, after death, unto us and all people that we understand the importance of living for Jesus. Only He can give us a new heart to walk in His ways.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, help us all to live out our faith in Your holiness. Give us clean hands and a pure heart. Leads us away from darkness and into Your light. Let sin have no control over us. Let the Holy Spirit move within us, to teach us Your will for our lives. We are listening and want to live apart from the world. Give us counsel that we may stand uprightly. May the lustful nature, inside of each us, be tamed. If anyone, reading this, is in sexual sin, give them freedom through repentance. May they confess their wrongs before You and be washed clean by Your blood. Your forgiveness gives us new hope. Thank You for caring so deeply for our lives and our futures. I owe all to You, Lord Jesus. I love You. Amen.
