Acknowledge And Confess Your Sins

Be not dismayed by the heaviness of your sins. Your lusts and addictions can be but a moment once you turn and give your life to Christ. We can either wallow in our shame and guilt or give it all to God. He understands the weaknesses of our flesh and wants to help us control it. Living in our sinful lifestyle will only make the problems worse. What is worse is when we keep our sinful acts to ourselves. We aren’t doing ourselves a favor by lying to those we love about our lives. God can see through our outward appearance and see our wicked hearts. Know that we are not condemned for our sins unless we die in this fashion. All the day, the Lord has His arms wide open to receive us, in order to make us clean. David taught, 1“Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.” He taught us how hard his life was when he kept his secrets to himself, before He gave it all to God. 1“When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long. For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer” All the Lord asks is that you realize your weakness and let Him help you. Just as David prayed, pray with Him, if you are in sin, 1“I acknowledge my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin.”

There are so many tears of sorrow for a love one who is without God and neglects their chance to follow Him. It is sad to see any of our relatives take a different road in life without the Lord. Jesus is ready to forgive those that come to Him. Sometimes we can only pray that those we love have a change of heart. Anyone you know and love that continues in sin, encourage them to pray and to get right with God. Your seeds of encouragement can go a long way. Maybe not now but later when it seems like all is lost. Know that there will be many tears of joy when a sinner comes to Christ. 2Even the angels of heaven will shouting for joy. David taught, 1“Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the Lord, mercy shall compass him about.” When they confess their sins to God, in order to be made right in His presence is amazing indeed. Everyone that is lost is special in the Lord’s eyes. He wants to do so much more for their lives. We can’t even imagine the greater things we can accomplish with the Holy Spirit in our lives. Sin brings about darkness and pain but a life in Christ brings about abundant light that we may see. Be made free through the blood of Jesus. He died for your sins on the cross. If you are free from the wickedness of this world then celebrate. 1“Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.”

Let us pray:
Lord, help us to live for You and not the world. If anyone is in sin, open their hearts to come to You. Give them a desire to confess their sins openly to You, oh lord. Forgive us and have mercy upon our souls. We are weak and have need of a Savior. We repent and turn from our addictions that You might break our chains. Here are our hands. Cut loose the cuffs that have us band. Have mercy upon us. I confess that I need You more than ever. I need You more than the temporary happiness found in this world. I need joy that lasts. You have opened my eyes that I might see what true love it. Lead me ever in Your light. I love You. Amen.
