Persecution In The Service Of God

In the service of God, not everyone will be in favor of what you are up to. People of the faith may acknowledge what you say is true and give thanks for your service. They may say that teaching from the Word, praying for people and passing out tracks is so necessary. What pains me is that most of these people won’t let the Holy Spirit open their mouths to share the gospel. The lost, that are open, may listen and inquire about what you are saying. This might lead them to accept Jesus as Lord of their lives. In this, I have experienced, praise God. However, most people that are lost won’t be so receptive. You may offer a gospel tract to them but they will not receive it. They may say, get away from me. Some may even say, “Hail Satan”, just to provoke us. I hear that a lot. If they just knew what they are saying. Anybody that could ever step into hell would be petrified to go back. People may come at you and call you names. They may try to argue that you may stop speaking. There is much evil in this world and the devil does not want us to be in God’s harvest. It is so important that you keep a pray in your heart. As David said, pray also, 1“Plead my cause, O Lord, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me.” Let Jesus bear you up to give you strength to carry on. When people are against what you sharing, pray In your heart, 1“Draw out also the spear, and stop the way against them that persecute me: say unto my soul, I am thy salvation.”

It is an honor to serve my God, my King. I trust in His goodness to save me from my foes. When I speak through the Holy Spirit nothing can pierce me for God is with me. 1“Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul: let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt.” I will not let the rivaling of the evil one way me down. Hard times may come, while in the service of God, but it is all worth it. There will be sentencing thrown down upon the unrighteous. The wages of living for the world and fighting against God leads to destruction. This way of life is damaging for it is so hard to escape. If you love God, be encouraged to follow Him often. Don’t let the world deter your faith. Stay strong in the Lord. Read the Bible daily. Let God’s Word speak wisdom to your heart. Your knowledge is limited but what the Spirit can speak to our minds is amazing indeed. We may say and do things that we never thought were possible with the Lord in our lives. It is God that helps us see people who they really are. He helps us see the goodness in others and show love. He even helps us love those that hate us. Jesus taught, 2“But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.” Our flesh is weak and this may be hard for us but when the Spirit of God is in our lives we can do all things. Even loving our enemy can be part of who we are.

Let us pray:
Praise and honor to the Lord on high. Oh Lord, You are worthy of all praise. No one is like You. You are my deliver when the enemies are under way. You are my shield when times are hard. My soul will not be ashamed for You are worth living for. You are worth dying for. I have trust that You will protect me. Even when persecutions rage against me, I will not fall for You will bear me up. Even when evil people desire to throw me in a pit, I know that You will catch me. I live to bear fruit for Your harvest. Help me Lord to spread seeds on fertile ground. I will go where You want me to go. I rejoice in Your salvation. Thank You for dying for my sins on the cross. I am so grateful for Your forgiveness. I love You. Amen.
