Commune With God In Prayer

Prayer is what everyone needs to find true wisdom in life. The Bible also shows us the truth of God and leads us to follow Jesus. If the Spirit of God has touched your heart, while reading the Word of God, you would have been led to pray also. God has a story to tell us. We just need a heart to listen. Every time we look to God to know the way, He is willing to lead us. All it takes is trust in God and not only will His words come to life but His presence will envelope our lives. Oh, how wonderful is the presence of God. I am strengthened when God is near. I am able to make better choices. I am able to ask Him for guidance and He delivers. Jesus said, 3“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.” This is so true. The Lord doesn’t just say these things but knows it firsthand. This is His relationship with the Father and the same can be ours. God is our refuge in the good times and the storms of life. No matter what is going on in our busy lives He willing to come to our rescue. Just ask for God’s help and He will be there. The real question is, do you believe you need help? Are you humble enough to need a Savior? We cannot be saved with Jesus. His sacrifice for sins is necessary to go to heaven. Have you submitted yourself to Him yet? Have you decided to follow Jesus? Know that your prayer life will increase substantially once you do so. The light of Christ will come upon you and elevate you to new places.

Come and be fed by the King of Glory. In any time or place in your life, give your heart to God in prayer. Just open your mouth and speak from your heart. 1He is waiting and willing to help you. God is always listening and will never forsake you, when you need Him. If you need a shoulder to cry on, He is there. In all our pains and sorrows, the Lord will give us peace. David knew that God would answer his prayer when he wrote, 2“Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.” Can you hear his humble plea to God. He not only came to the Lord but knew He would be there. God was His refuge above all things. He could come to Him for anything at all and God would give him rest. This same promise is for everyone . If you make the Lord the King of your life, communion with God will be oh so sweet. In your everyday walk, He will be there. Think on God, often, and it will come easy to just talk with Him. Your relationship will be built every time you pray. This relationship is a necessity for our salvation. 3For how can we be saved if the Lord never knew us. It isn’t possible to be saved if our good works were done through us and not God. When we are made new in Christ the Lord, it is also a change of mind. We no longer want to please ourselves but the God of the heavens. He is our Lord and to do His will is an honor. We pray that we might know the way.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, it is a pleasure to commune with You. I love to be in Your presence. I just love to be fed by the Holy Spirit and to know more of You each and every day. Nothing is greater than to be in Your presence. I want less of me and more of You. You are the rock upon which I stand. I will not be dismayed for You will never leave me. I am ready and willing to fight for Your cause. Lord, hear my cries. When there is sorrow, dry every tear. I know You will come to my rescue. People betray me but You will never leave me. I trust in You, Lord. I need Your wisdom. Counsel me if I am ever in error. Show me the way. I don’t want to live outside of Your love. I desire to always be filled by Your presence. Lead me from temptation, oh Lord. Help me to not fall into sin. Cover me with Your holiness. Let Your light so shine within me, oh Lord. May the lost see Your light and come to know You. I love You. Amen.

24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
