Walk In God’s Holiness

God’s place is holiness. 1“His foundation is in the holy mountains.” Jerusalem is God’s holy city. It is where 1“the gates of Zion” dwell. It is where God’s beloved people came from. But as believers in Christ, we are not left out of His kingdom. We are adopted in as children of God as we put our faith and trust in Jesus. 4“Ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.” We are now welcomed into His holy presence. Where the Lord dwells, there we can be also. We indeed cry out in praise and honor to the King of Glory, who saves. We were lost but have been found. We were blind but can see. Though we don’t deserve it, God grafts us into His fold, if we allow Him. The key is, allow! Many of us have lived such awful and wicked lives. If the law enforcement would have ever found out about some of the things we have done, we’d be punished, for sure. Even God punishes the unrepentant sinner that dies in their sins. However, God is so gracious to all that submit to Him. 2His mercy and forgiveness is for everyone that calls upon His Name and repents of their sins.

Know this that God does not live in wicked people or places. He is holy, and if you desire to be in His presence, you ought to also live for Him. If you have come to know God, then you will know that He takes us out of our sinful nature and into His righteous path. The Lord breaks every chain of addition. We aren’t left living a life of sin while He is with us. This is blasphemy to God’s Word to think that God allows us to sin. If any person says that they can be saved by faith, while living a life of sin, is only fooling themselves and others. This is a lie from Satan that we can just believe and be saved. Paul taught that 3“he that is dead is freed from sin.” What do we die from? It is our sinful nature that we put aside for Christ. 4“If ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.” Many have been called and 5“received Christ Jesus the Lord.” This has jump started their new walk in Christ. After accepting Jesus into their life, His works begin to show their fruits within them. Walk this day with Christ and He will usher You into His holiness. What a great God we serve.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, Your ways are so good. Your desires are greater than all things. What dwells within You is holiness. As You walk blameless, we ought to also walk. I am grateful for Your presence. You strengthen me and help me to walk apart from the world. When I am with You, my life is better. I am able to think straight. My heart is not on earthly possessions or pleasures of this world but on how to serve You, my King. Instead of squandering away my time in unnecessary things, it is filled with ways to show love towards others. Lord, You delight my soul. I am grateful for this new life You’ve given me. I was once lost but You found me. You took me from darkness and into Your light. The day I put my trust in You, You answered my call. Thank You for being there for me when I needed You most. You are a great God, who saves. I love You. Amen.
