Believe And Serve The Lord

One thing that the believers and unbelievers all have in common is, both know or will know the truthfulness of God, one way or another. All believers in Jesus, will rejoice when they finally see their Savior and King. For they were once lost but have been found. 3The blood of Jesus has covered their sins. They are forgiven because of what Jesus has done on the cross. Speaking of God’s great mercy, 2“thou answeredst them, O Lord our God: thou wast a God that forgavest them.” God’s grace is for all people that call upon His name. They are transformed from darkness and into His glorious light. On the other hand, all unbelievers and vile sinners will all, one day, have a reckoning with the Almighty God. They very well had time to change their life but neglected every opportunity. What a shame, as their sentence will be passed down in judgement. The wrath of God will surely be upon them. Oh the fear and trembling, they will feel as they are awaiting their ultimate fate. God 2“executest judgment and righteousness,” but the outcome is better for those on the Lord’s side.

Who’s side are you on? Are you living a life for God or yourself? Your words don’t mean nothing if your heart is far from God. You can talk a good talk but if there are no actions, it means nothing in the sight of God. Look into the mirror and see who you truly are fighting for. Are you fighting on the side of God and therefore hate sin? Or do you live happily in this life, while sin abounds? Our time at church will not help our outcome, in death. If we hear a good message and never do anything with it, then there is no faith. A good sermon can be God’s way of showing us the way but this can’t happen if we don’t take it to heart. God can see who you are living for. He knows what side you are on. 1“If it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve.” There will be consequences or blessings depending on your decision. 1“But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” If this is your heart also, then 1“serve him in sincerity and in truth.” If you love the Lord, then 2“exalt the Lord our God, and worship” Him. The Lord is worthy of all our praise.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, help all believers to also live out their faith. It is one thing, to say we believe in You, and another thing to say we believe and live the opposite. I know that You can see through all that. Convict people of their sins that they may repent. Help each of us understand the importance of living our faith till the end. I know how true this is. You have showed me the way. I am truly happy now that You have delivered me. I do not wish that sin will come back into my life. I am tired of all the shame and guilt it brought into my life. The good news of Your gospel is worth more. My life is given to You, as a witness. I will proclaim Your great name to all those around me. It is all for Your glory. I rejoice in You, my Savior. I praise Your Holy Name. I love You. Amen.
