After Death Comes The Judgement

Deep down, we all know when we sin. Please do not try to cover it up but be open about it with God and man. Examine your faults, say sorry to those that are offended, and turn from every wicked way. Come to Jesus with all your baggage. Lay on the table, every addiction. Confess them in prayer and forsake them today. Ask for His power to come over you to give you the strength to resist temptation. Come to God and repent, before it is too late! Solomon said, 1“If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it?” Because you chose to sin, you already knew the choice you were making and where it would lead. You knew what was involved even before doing the wicked deed. However, some may even say, “I am young, I can just repent later. There is still a lot of time in life to get right with God.” What foolishness and a lack of understanding when it comes to these people’s lives. To think that they are in control of their lives and know how long they will live is laughable. God takes people at all ages. No matter if we are old or young. He has the power to seal our fate at any moment. So the question is, are you ready to die tonight, how about tomorrow? Have you even thought about what might happen to you after death takes a hold of you? Well, the truth is, judgment awaits everyone. Paul said, 2“it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” And on that day, God’s mercy is upon those that die in their faith, where His wrath is upon those that die in their sins and unbelief.

Those that die in their faith, have done more than just believe. 3They have realized that faith without works is dead and therefore did as God’s Word says. They, therefore, lived out their life for Christ. They have chosen to trust in Jesus and do what He says. Speaking of God’s will for us, Solomon said, 1“shall not he render to every man according to his works?” And since the judgement is based upon God’s good works inside of us, only those that lived a life for Jesus will have them and many fruits thereof. John talked about the day of judgement when he said, 4“the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.” Therefore, those that are washed clean by the blood of Jesus will have a great reward in heaven. They will be with their Lord and King forever. God promises, 5“he that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.” What a glorious day for the righteous. 5“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” Where do you want to spend eternity? Heaven or hell? Make your decision today and become right with Jesus, who saves. This life is short. Do not waste it and wish you could had a redo, as you spend eternity in hell. Heaven is waiting for everyone that follows Christ, our Savior.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, please help those in the faith understand the importance of repentance. May they come to realize how short this life is and get right with You before it is too late. It is such a foolish thing to put off our day of repentance but too many decide to do so and are paying the consequences, come judgement. Oh how fearful that day is for the wicked. I just pray Lord, that less people that proclaim to be Christians do not fall into this category. I know that many so-called Christians are already on a path to destruction and hell awaits them. This saddens me deeply. Because they decided to live a different life than what You instructed in scripture, they will be judged according to their knowledge. And I know that when You said to not call you Lord, if I do not do what You say, You meant it. For we will not be accepted into Your kingdom if we were not for You in this life. I know now how important it really is to be made right in Your presence. To be made clean is so important. Now that the Holy Spirit is in my life, I never want to quench it or be left alone. If I am in sin, I want to know and repent immediately. I know that it is better to turn from my sins and have forgiveness, then pay the price later. You are my God and it is my desire to live for You. I love You more than the things of this world. Amen.
