God’s Wisdom Gives Us Guidance

We learn from scripture that God gave much wisdom to Solomon. Although he often lived a life of luxury and did many things of the flesh, he was still found seeking after God and the Lord spoke through him. This can be said for anyone that desires to live a life for the Most High. 3Surely His wisdom is for the children of God, that have faith in Him. As we seek Him through the Bible and prayer, His answers will come flowing into our hearts and minds. However, the times we are distant from Him, and instead allow ourselves to follow the lusts of the flesh, God’s wisdom and guidance will be nowhere to be found. It is not God’s fault that you are in bondage and full of shame and guilt. Your own choices have brought you to the point you are now. The question is, will you put aside what is wicked and follow Jesus today? Will you make the Lord a priority in your life, that you may be guided and directed? The choice is yours but the blessings and consequences of each choice are real. If you choose God and allow Him to cleanse you of all sin, through the blood of Jesus, then your life will be restored into God’s love. However, by continuing to follow the flesh and make wrong choices, this lifestyle will put you on a path to destruction, which will be forever felt come death. Therefore, come to Jesus and allow Him to put a shield upon you today. Therefore, you will no longer so easily fall into drugs, alcohol, and sexual sin (pornography, fornication and adultery).

When it comes to abstaining from the lusts of the flesh, Solomon spoke of alcohol. He said, 1“blessed art thou, O land, when thy king is the son of nobles, and thy princes eat in due season, for strength, and not for drunkenness!” As you read this, do you now understand that we are blessed when we do not allow ourselves to get drunk? This is not the way of a Christian, that loves God but someone that is living for themselves, in order to feed the cravings of the flesh. 2Paul also said that those that drink to get drunk will not inter the kingdom of God but instead be shutout. The same can be said for those people that are into drugs or sexual sin. To give into such pleasures is also choosing a path without God in it. You cannot be giving your flesh to such wickedness as porn, fornication and adultery and expect a pardon from God, after death. However, God is so gracious as to forgive you while in the flesh. His mercy is for all people that turn from their sins in repentance and then give their lives to Him. Do not delay your chance at salvation for tomorrow you could die and all hope would be gone. Doing this is allow your life to crumble. Solomon said, 1“by much slothfulness the building decayeth”. The same can be said for your life, when are lazy. Jesus has come to save you but it is up to you to accept His sacrifice for sins, while giving your life to Him today. If you have been convicted by your sins, then turn from them to Christ. Allow His blood to cover you and make you whole.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, my God, I pray that Your wisdom will fall down upon us. May our flesh be no longer given over to the things of this world but unto Your will. Help us tame the lusts of the flesh, that we may walk in Your love. Come and scatter the darkness, that we may walk in Your light. May Satan no longer have power over us, that we may walk and no longer stumble through life. In sin, our vision is clouded and we cannot help but trip and fall when temptation is at the door. For this Lord, we wish that sin may no longer be a part of our lives. Build us up with Your armor. May we be fighters for what is righteous and learn to hate what is evil. So many people are in darkness and need Your deliverance. Help us be a light to them. Give us ears to hear and new eyes, that we may see. Lead us to the lost, that we may share Your message of hope with them. May we find the broken and open hearted and then lead them to You, Jesus. You have the power to free them from bondage, and all addiction, and for this, we are here to bring these people to You. May they experience Your matchless power and find mercy and forgiveness. I trust in You, Jesus. You are my hope and the rock of my salvation. I love You Lord. Amen.
