I Delight In God’s Ways

For my Lord Jesus, I am delighted to walk in His ways. Whatever He says, I will obey. Oh, how His commands are good to me. His commandments are my feast, for I cannot have enough of them. They build me up and help me bring heaven to earth. Paul said it this way, 2“for our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.” This is what Jesus did for me. I am reborn in His blood and everything He offers is a blessing to my life. And speaking of delighting in his commands, David also said, 1“thou hast commanded us to keep thy precepts diligently.” Therefore, 1“with my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.” My soul is lifted up just to know of what the Lord has for my life. I obey Him because there is so much more in store for me with God. It is His love that moves me to do His will. I love the Lord with all my heart and soul. This loves consumes me and now all I want to do is love on others. To witness the truths of God is what my soul longs for. Then, to see lives saved by the blood of Jesus, lifts me up. It is surely an honor to do the will of my God. May the Lord always be near me, that His Name may be lifted up high and not my own. For I can only do good, except in Christ Jesus. There is no good in me unless the Lord, my God is leading me.

It is my joy to meditate on God’s Word, day in and day out, for it is very good for my soul. 1I do not have to worry about wondering into sin, for God’s Word is a lamp unto my feet. Surely, to learn from my Lord God and King is the greatest thing we can ever do to show our devotion to Him. I may not have gone very far in this world but with God, I am going places. This is because the Lord is my shield and my fortress. I do not have to worry about sin, for Jesus leads me out of temptation. The words of the Bible are in my heart and it helps me know what is right and what is wrong in this world. Just as David said, I also declare, 1“thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” Therefore, 1“I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word. Deal bountifully with thy servant, that I may live, and keep thy word.” I do not ever want to have God’s Words leave my mind or heart, for they are my guide in this wicked world. In them, I do not have to make my own guesses about things, for God’s Word is clear and His ways are my ways. What the Lord God loves, I love. What the Lord God hates, I hate. This is my walk with Christ and I am blessed because of it. May your faith also grow to a point of love and devotion to God. This is when life truly changes and we are reborn in Christ Jesus’s blood. There is a new man or woman waiting in Jesus’s arms today. Come and give your life to Him. Our Lord Jesus is waiting for you to come unto Him. Who will respond to His call?

Let us pray:
Oh Lord my God, You are so worthy of Your Name. Yes, Jesus, we come to You with open arms and a heart of worship. Oh how we love Your presence. When You speak to us, it is life changing. Your words fill us up with joy. Thank You Lord. You are so good to us God. Come and fill us more and more with Your Wisdom and knowledge. Lead us by the hand. Help us to walk in Your ways and to never leave Your side. Poor down upon us Your Holy Spirit, that everyone may be moved to live a new life in You. May the Spirit lead us to love one another as You love us. For Lord, I love You and want everyone to be loved the same way. How could I ever hold grudges, for there is only mercy in Your eyes. How could I ever not forgive those that have hurt me, for You are always willing to forgive me. You are my greatest example of how to treat others with utter kindness and true love. There is no one like You Jesus. Your words are my delight and I want more of You. Come and speak to my soul and teach me every day of my life. I say this, because You have lifted every guilt and shame off my shoulders. I can’t say enough of how this means to me. There is true freedom in Your Name and I love You for this. In Your Holy Name Jesus. Amen.

19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)
20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
