Faithful To God

As believers in Christ, showcase your true love to Jesus by also being faithful to Him. No longer live for yourself but do as the Lord God says. Only He has the power to save. As Paul said, 1“let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.” Did you notice how he said “required”? What this means is that Christians are different, for their thoughts and desires are for the Lord, and Him alone. We are found to be true believers when we are faithful to God’s commands. This is a requirement for every believer, in order to go to heaven. So what are you living for now? Please know that if it is not for God and His kingdom, then it is not important at all to Him or yourself. Every ounce of fun you may think you are having in this world, while without God, is only depriving yourself of the Holy Spirit and your life is really empty. While in this state, sin will rule your life and lead you away from God and onto a path of destruction. Instead of being alive in the Lord, you are like every other person that is of the world and not for God. Did you not know that as believers in God, we are also followers of Him also? And did you not know that as followers of God, we are also faithful servants of Him also? As you see, our faith is not watered down but alive in Christ. It is the works of God in our lives that makes our faith truly alive.

When a person becomes faithful to God, their lives are now much different than before. Instead of taking offense real easily, there is forgiveness in our hearts. Instead of putting up a wall and distancing ourselves from people, we do things to rectify the issues. Instead of judging others based on what they are doing, we look to Jesus as the ultimate judge. It is not for us to judge one another but to be an encourager instead. If we see someone in sin, come at them with love. Invite them to Church, Church event, Bible Study, your home, or out to eat and get to know the person. While doing this, be seeking the Lord in prayer, that He may help you know how to approach this person with love and respect. Then, can you know how to give sound advice to the person, that is uplifting. On this topic of judgement, Paul also said, 1“but with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man’s judgment: yea, I judge not mine own self. For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord.” Once you also understand that Jesus is our judge, then the way we come at people will be much different. We will be much less judging but a lot more sensitive to their issues. As followers of Christ, we are able to live differently and be separate from this world. And the best part is that the love of Jesus will shine forth, in our lives, for all to see. This is when lives truly change for Christ.

Let us pray:
Oh lord, we are thankful to be Your followers and to be led by You, our God and King. You are our Lord and we hear Your voice and obey. Through Your great counsel in our lives, we have guidance and direction. Our paths are made straight because You are here to intercede in our lives. We know that our own ways are destructive and only lead to death and we pray that we will always look to You, the author and finisher of our faith. May we not be caught up in the things of this world that only lead us away from You and into darkness. I know that I have been a victim of doing things, so many times, that have only brought pain and guilt in my life and I am sorry. Forgive me and every believer that comes unto You in true confession. I know that I am not free from sin on my own, but when I seek Your hand my life is strengthened and I am more able to resist temptation. Surely, Satan wants to take us down, but I know that You are stronger and can cast Him out of our lives, if we but trust in You. You are the way to salvation and I pray that I may never lose sight of this. May You ever be the light that guides me, for I am lost in my sins without You. I trust in You Lord. I love You God. Amen.
