The Lord God, Our Savior

In the time of Moses and the children of Israel, there were good times and also trying times. The Egyptians were ruthless and very hard on them. Therefore, God led Moses and Aaron unto them, that they may be saved. And when they were finally able to walk freely from this life of bondage, people were happy for a time. It wasn’t until they saw the Pharaoh and the Egyptians coming for them in their chariots, did they fear for the worst. In this moment did they say 1“unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore hast thou dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt?” (Exodus 14:11) It must have been a fearful sight, indeed, but for those that trusted in God, they knew that He would lead them to safety. Moses was one of them and 1“said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever. The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.” (Exodus 14:13,14) How amazing was his faith? Even when the enemy was coming for them, in order to kill them, he had no fear. It was then that God said unto Moses, 1“lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.” (Exodus 14:16) So the children of Israel passed through the sea and unto dry ground, while the Egyptians followed and were destroyed. This is because the pillar of fire stopped them in their tracts, while God caused the river back to normal again, when Moses lifted up his rod. How great and powerful is our God. There is power in His Name, even unto salvation.

God is good and all powerful. Not only did He do a work for those in the Bible, but He is doing a work now, in every person’s life that believes in Jesus Christ for salvation. Jesus is Lord and is able to be the Lord of our lives, if we but let Him in. Unto those that make a choice and follow the Lord their God, these are those that are blessed. In this life and the next will they reap the blessings from heaven. This comes when we are delivered from the enemy and are freed from our bondage in life. This can happen when we pray or others pray over us, and because of our faith in Jesus Christ, our addictions to pornography, drugs, alcohol and other things are broken. What we once desired is no more and our hearts are now set on what is righteous in the sight of God. Truly, a transformation comes when we give our lives to Christ. This is when we are set free from slavery, and desire to sin no more. Now on the path of God, this is the best thing we could ever experience in life. The moment that people desire more of God than anything else, is when change occurs. In these moments do our love for the Lord increase. Even our worship to Him, prayer life and reading of the Bible is increased seven fold. Why do we do this? It is because His ways are delightsome to those that are saved. Everything else is not important and only leads us on dark paths, where sin is at the door. This is why the Lord God wants to be in each of our lives, in order to disperse the darkness and lead us into His glorious light. Jesus is our Savior and the only way to heaven. Trust in Him and all things will work out for your good. Even your friendships and relationships will be get better over time. Why is this? It is because the love of the Lord will overflow from your lives and into others.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I am so blessed and honored to be delivered from the enemy and to be led by Your hand, while in this life. I am finally safe and can see clearly, because You have set me on the right path that leads to heaven. Thank You for coming into my life and rescuing me from my sins. For so many years I thought that doing things my flesh desired was OK. How wrong was I? I am so sorry God, for walking in wickedness and forgetting You all those many years. I was so lost and didn’t even know it, until it was almost too late. If my heart was not turned to You, then my marriage would have ended and my ties with my children would have been broken. I am so grateful that You convicted me of my evil ways, in that time, and allowed me time to repent and get myself right with You. I did not want to let those I loved down any longer and You responded in a big way. You heard my confessions and not only had mercy upon me, but showed me how to live differently. I was incapable of turning from the darkness I was in, but You gave me a safe way out, and all my relationships were mended because of You great love for me. Thank You Lord. Truly, in Your hands is there salvation. You are my Savior Lord. I was lost and You led me to safety. My life was broken and you took the pieces and made me whole again. It is so amazing just to know that Your blood has covered a sinner like me. How deep is Your love? I am amazed. I love You Lord. You are my God and I put my trust in You above all things. Nothing is better than to know You and to follow in Your footsteps. Amen.
