Give Your Precious Time To God

There is only one reason why a person is not saved. It is because other things are more important to them than following Jesus. I often wonder why people do this and neglect Jesus in their daily life. For me, if I just watch a few minutes of TV Show or a Movie, I know that I am slacking off and giving up my precious time with God. However, when I turn off the TV and give into the Spirit, I am much more happy about things and the first things that come to my mind is reading the Bible. Therefore, I grab my Bible and start to really study God’s Holy Word. It is then that my bad thoughts are gone and all I want to do is call upon the Lord in prayer. This is the best time of my day. The times that I have spent with the Lord God is far greater than anything I could do on my own free will. Doing this time I have a free conscience, void of all guilt or shame. This also leads me to think of new ways to love my neighbor and then actively go out and do it. It isn’t just some good thoughts that were brought up in church, but I am now thinking the same way, and my actions are now describing how I really feel for God. One thing to note is, we can either be living for God or this world. There is no in between with God. Therefore, we are either saved or not saved in God’s kingdom. Where the saved people are accepted into heaven when they die, all the unsaved people will open up their eyes in hell when they die. On one hand, those that trusted in God have a very good reward when they die, where everyone else that trusted in their own selves, are penalized severely when they die. Things are not given the same way to people in death. This is a misconception. We get exactly what we deserve come judgment day.

Jesus is the only way to heaven. There is no other way. So I pray that you decide now to put Him first in your life, in order to be saved. 2“No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” (Matthew 6:24) Your life is like a ticking time bomb and you don’t know when your heart will stop beating. You can be in your earlier childhood, having fun in college, slowly growing older in age, or in your eighties, but then out of nowhere, death hits you. There may have been a car wreck, an accident in a lake, cancer, drug overdose or alcohol poising and then the next minute your life is over. God knows that very hour that we will take our last breath, but we ourselves have no idea. For that reason, it is important to get right with God now. Don’t live like you can repent at a later time in life, for that time may never come. It is very foolish to think that you can enjoy your time now, but change your life later. And the fact is, too many people have died before they had called upon God for help. All they needed to do what confess their sins and ask Jesus to change their lives, but they neglected that opportunity. So we see that procrastination is leading millions of lost souls to hell. These are those that know what to do in life, but choose to stay in their sinful lifestyle instead, hoping to repent later. This is so terrible, but this doesn’t have to be you. Therefore, 1“choose you this day whom ye will serve” (Joshua 24:15). You can be one of the few who gets right with God and are saved. So begin to give your precious time to God. Put Him first in your life and you shall be saved. No sin will abound when the Holy Spirit is with you.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that we all learn to lean on You in all situations of our lives. May You become the focal point of our existence, that our thoughts may be made righteous in You. So many things distract us in life, but everything is different when Your presence is with us. There are no more doubts that fill our minds, for we are doing what is right by Your hand. Lord, lead us from temptation and to follow You greater each day. I know that so many people get distracted by the stupidest of things, and they are missing out on what is most important, which is time with You. In this life, I have seen to many people that I know and love spend their days watching TV or going out and having a good time with their friends or family, when You have been neglected the entire time. This is truly hard to see, for I know how lost these people are. Then, when approaching them and asking them how long it has been since they read the Bible, they don’t even know. They can count how many hours they have spent doing other things, but cannot even calculate one hour with You. This is truly heart breaking, for I know that these lost souls are headed to hell when they die, lest they turn to You, and repent. There is time for the wicked to confess their sins to You, Lord, and become Your son or daughter. As You have saved me from a life of sin, I know that You can change anyone that puts their trust in You. Thank You Lord. The day that I chose to follow You was the best decision I have ever made. I love to give my time to You now, for I am so much more happy. I love You so much God. Amen.

1Joshua 24:14-24 (KJV)
14 Now therefore fear the Lord, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the Lord.
15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
16 And the people answered and said, God forbid that we should forsake the Lord, to serve other gods;
17 For the Lord our God, he it is that brought us up and our fathers out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage, and which did those great signs in our sight, and preserved us in all the way wherein we went, and among all the people through whom we passed:
18 And the Lord drave out from before us all the people, even the Amorites which dwelt in the land: therefore will we also serve the Lord; for he is our God.
19 And Joshua said unto the people, Ye cannot serve the Lord: for he is an holy God; he is a jealous God; he will not forgive your transgressions nor your sins.
20 If ye forsake the Lord, and serve strange gods, then he will turn and do you hurt, and consume you, after that he hath done you good.
21 And the people said unto Joshua, Nay; but we will serve the Lord.
22 And Joshua said unto the people, Ye are witnesses against yourselves that ye have chosen you the Lord, to serve him. And they said, We are witnesses.
23 Now therefore put away, said he, the strange gods which are among you, and incline your heart unto the Lord God of Israel.
24 And the people said unto Joshua, The Lord our God will we serve, and his voice will we obey.

2Matthew 6:19-34 (KJV)
19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!
24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
