To Say, Love Me How I am

So many people want God and others to love them just the way they are, when they are really in a sinful lifestyle and don’t care as much for change. How sad is this? This happens so often when people say they accept Christ into their lives, but continue to live for the world and not for Him. Even some people that say they are Christians have believed in God a long while, but are still doing things that they know are wrong. In response to this, I ask as Paul said, 2“know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.” (1 Corinthians 3:16,17) Every sin that we commit willfully against God, is also affecting our bodies and our stance with Him. Each day that we walk for the flesh and not for the Lord, His light becomes dimmer and dimmer in our lives until it is hard to recognize.

When speaking of sin, I am not talking about falling into sin on occasion, but willfully doing something daily that God doesn’t approve of. This is normally an addiction that a person has not cut out of their lives and are not willing to either. These addictions can include, but are not limited to drinking to get drunk, doing drugs, looking at pornography, and having sex outside of marriage. These things are so destructive in a person’s life and a person doing such things cannot help but have a deflated faith because of these sins. I wish that people who are involved with such things knew how this affects dating and marriage in a very bad way. It also destroys any and all relationship we have with God. Why is this? It is because our lusts of the flesh have gotten in the way of praying to Him often and reading the Bible daily. Because there is a lack of repentance in your life, there is also a lack of desire to follow Jesus.

Paul said, 2“every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.” (1 Corinthians 3:13) Please know that God can see your life and what you are doing. If you want to be saved, then give up what is holding you back from following Jesus. We cannot walk in the flesh and still think that God is Ok with us. Only by being washed by the blood of Jesus is there salvation for our souls. This comes when we confess our sins and desire to live for Him. The Holy Spirit is then able to enter our lives and lead us in the ways of righteousness. We cannot do this on our own, but only by way of the Spirit of God entering our lives. Even Jesus spoke of the importance of being led by the Spirit, when He said, 1“except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” (John 3:5)

Through God’s presence in our life, every evil spirit is cast out. We are no longer bound by temptation and willful sin, for God gives us a way out of these things. This is when we are able to understand when there are evil thoughts in our minds and allow God to take them all captive. I promise you that when you turn to Christ and really follow Him, then your whole life will change. The old desires to follow after the lusts of your own eye, will be replaced with new thoughts that are pure and holy. This is when the Lord is able to use you and others for His Kingdom. We are the temple of God, and our life is that much more amazing when we treat our bodies that way. Now, if you are lost in the sins that I mentioned or something else, then repent. God’s love to call all sinners to repentance and is able to lead them off the path of destruction. Will you listen to Him and obey His counsel, starting today?

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that the Holy Spirit will come into people’s lives. May every wicked part of them now be removed in Your holy Name. It is so important to believe in and follow You, so I pray that people will decide to do this with their whole heart and not just a piece of it. There must be a desire to walk with You and talk with You and not just hearsay. Truly, I have experienced this new walk with You and I am so much happy. I just wish that more people would wake up to their sins and realize how far gone they really are, before it is too late. We need more people that have confessed their sins to You, Jesus, and are now walking on Your righteous path. Surely, we need people that are happy to change their lives for You, and not the opposite. Do people not realize that when they things back from You, and do things of the world that are wicked, that they are denying themselves to be forgiven? Your mercy is free to everyone that comes unto You, but they must make that choice to let things go. So Lord, give people an urgency to repent of whatever is holding them back now , that they may be used for Your kingdom. There are so many good people that are lost and could be used right now, if they would just realize the type of sinful lifestyle they are in. It is my prayer that people understand that their bodies are Your temples and also live that way. Then, will Your Holy Spirit take over their lives, that Your light will begin to shine forth in the darkness. I trust in You, God. Your ways are higher and by following You, there is salvation. Salvation does not come from this world, but in Your hands, Jesus. Therefore, do I run to You daily in prayer and reading Your Words in the Bible. I want more of You and less of me. Take everything that I am. I love You. Amen.

1John 3:1-21 (KJV)
1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?
10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?
11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.
12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?
13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God

21 Corinthians 3 (KJV)
1 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.
2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.
3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?
4 For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?
5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?
6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.
8 Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.
9 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.
10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
13 Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.
14 If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
15 If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.
19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.
20 And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.
21 Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are your’s;
22 Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are your’s;
23 And ye are Christ’s; and Christ is God’s.
