Are Your Praises To God Or Man?

If you are saved, then you would want to praise the Lord for everything good and bad in your life, for He is in control and knows the way. God has done great things for people that believe in and follow Him and we rejoice In the good times and the trials. In prayer, we rejoice in our Savior. As David said, you would also say, 1“praise ye the Lord: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely.” (Psalm 147:1) 1“He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.” (Psalm 147:3) Because God has made you whole again through His blood and great mercy, you are so thankful to Him. We do not neglect this opportunity to call upon the Lord, for we have His peace each time that we seek Him, and give Him thanks. If God means something to You, then He would be in your heart and mind at all times. You would be searching the scriptures to find out His truth and share it with others.  You see, what You have now from God is like nothing the world can offer. There are many substitutes for being born again, but once you experience it, there is no turning back. It is because the Holy Spirit now resonates within You and gives you the hope to carry on. You are no longer on your own, but on the Lord’s team. Praise God indeed, if you have made this choice to follow Jesus and are now rescued from the wickedness of this world. You are safe from the wages of sin and temptation, if the Lord’s strength is in you now. Otherwise, sin abounds and your walk is not upright, but topsy turvy. There is no nothing willing you to live a holy life, if God is not in you. However, when the Spirit of God enters our life, everything changes.

So what makes a person not want to praise God, it is when other things take His place in life. This can be different people that people follow, even false prophets. It can also have to do with the amount of time that people spend most watching TV, playing on our phones, tablets, computer, gaming consoles and other things, where studying the Bible and prayer is nowhere to be found. It is people like this that have to be reminded about following Jesus before something major changes in their lives. It can be church and what they hear there, a person they hear witnessing on the streets, or even a friend of coworker. Whatever it may be, it is God calling them through these people. The Lord desires to wake every person up from their slumber, that they may be saved. You see, there are many people that proclaim to be Christians and be saved, but their way of life spells an entirely different story. There is no praise to God throughout the week. His Words are not in their hearts or minds. And there is no prayer or confessions being made to Him on their own time. Jesus explained this also, while saying that 2“they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.” (John 12:43) These are the same people that He said, 2“rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words.” (John 12:48) Therefore, stop rejecting God, and start delighting In His ways apart from Your own. Make the Lord a priority in Your life, then will you do things that honors Him. Then will praises and thanksgiving come forth from Your lips to Jesus, our Lord, in prayer. Give Him glory my friends through words and deeds. Don’t hold back anything, but make yourself known to God. Live for Him and you will be saved.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that people will wake up to their sins and repent. There are many different sins and addictions that will destroy a person’s life, if they are not rescued from by You from it. There is surely a path of destruction ahead of them and what they need is a Savior. So come unto every person that is bondage and a slave to sin now. Cut them loose, that they may be delivered from the chains of darkness and experience Your most wonderful light. We are delivered in Your mighty Name, Jesus. Truly, Your blood is what washes us and sets us free from the lusts that have us bound. In Your compassion, You come to a person like me in sin and take us by the hand. We may have walked a life of pain and regret long enough, but Your peace is what they need now to find hope. So cast out the guilt and the shame in people’s lives and and fill them up with Your love. Help them experience the greatest joy of all, which is the presence of the Lord and the Holy Spirit in their lives. It is when we are guided by Your hand is when we are safe. Our thoughts are tuned in unto You and we find deliverance from the enemy. Thank You for building us up, oh Lord, and leading us to safety. It is Your mighty power that leads sinners to repentance and we need Your conviction more and more in our daily walk. Help us to know if we are in the wrong, especially if it does not agree with You. Give us clean hands God, and a pure heart. Lift us up to honor You in the way we talk and live our lives. I trust in You and praise You, Jesus. I love You, my Lord. Amen.
