I Glorify In Jesus, My Lord

One of the most beautiful verses from all the Bible comes from Luke, chapter 1. It is when Mary glorifies in her Son, Jesus. What she said is truly remarkable, not only because of how much she knew of Her son being the God of Israel, but also how she described the characteristics of her Son, and Her God. Now, without further ado, let us get into what she said. 1“Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name. And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation. He hath shewed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree. He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away. He hath helped his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy; As he spake to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed for ever.” (Luke 1:46-55) Oh, how amazing and wonderful is this song of praise. Jesus is so deserving of such honor.

Much like Mary glorified in her Son, Jesus, oh how my soul praises the Lord, my Savior. My heart doth magnify the God of Israel and every nation. Jesus has changed my life and I give Him all my heart, mind and soul to worship and obey Him. Surely, His mercy endures forever. How great is his compassion. I am amazed that He could be so forgiving, when I have fallen short so many times. In my fear, He lifted me up and showcased his great mercy. I was prideful in my own ways, but the day that I called upon His name, He heard my confessions and answered my call. I’ve been lifted out of the darkness of this world and been placed in his bounteous light. How could a person so wretched as I be cleansed from all my sins, through his blood? I surely did not deserve the payment that He made for me and all mankind, while on the cross. Because I was hungry, he fed me with the Holy Spirit. I was not left to walk this world alone, for He has my hand now and leads and guides me. What a great God I serve. He always knows exactly what I need and what I should do. It is true that as I trust in the Lord, all things will work out for my good. Because of this and His great love for me, I give him praise! Thank You Jesus.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I love and honor You with all my heart, mind and soul. It is an honor to come unto You and worship You. Feed me Lord, as I am hungry for Your wisdom and knowledge. Help me know the way in this darken world. Keep me upright and lead me away from temptation, that I may walk in Your light. Forgive me of all my sins, God. I am sorry and need Your forgiveness. The enemy desires to take me down, but You are stronger than all things. I know that as I trust in You, I will be made strong to resist even the appearance of evil, in order to walk in Your holiness. It is so good to be guided by Your matchless hand. I am safe and have no more need to fear. Only You do I honor and fear, for You deserve all the reverence and respect. Men and women have failed me over the years, but You will never forsake me. Your love has no hounds. Your mercy never fails. How great is Your kindness. How great is Your compassion. Thank You for seeing potential in me, when no one else could. Because of Your patience and desire to help me, I am changed. You have put inside of me a new way of life. The Holy Spirit is with me now and my eyes have been opened. Thank You for giving me direction. I am now saved, because You love me so much. I am grateful, Lord, to be Your son. I give You now all the praise and the honor. I glorify in Your great Name, Jesus, for You are holy. Amen.

26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,
27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary.
28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.
29 And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.
30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.
31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus.

33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?

42 And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.
43 And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
44 For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.
45 And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.
