Give Thanks Unto The Lord

It is so good to celebrate what the Lord has done for us. In the good times and the bad, we lift up the Lord in praise and worship, for all He has done for us. For He is so good and has delivered us from the enemy so many times. We are no longer tied down because of our addictions, but have freedom in Christ Jesus. He has seen our lowly state and has resurrected us into newness of life. We are no longer afflicted because of the things of this world, but are now arrayed in the armor of God, which protects us. Surely, the Lord, our God is our deliverer and our strong tower. We can do all things through Christ, who strengthens us. Paul said this also, while also saying, 2“my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever.” (Philippians 4:19,20) He is the only one that can lead us to safety in this life. And if we have any needs, He is able to supply them also, for He listens to our prayers and knows who is for Him. So as David said, 1“give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.” (Psalm 107:1) He knew this to be true, for the Lord was with him, through his trials. Even his mercy was extended to him and his people, while delivering them from the enemy many times. Therefore, 1“they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses. And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation. Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!” (Psalm 107:6-8)

Every person that is free from any type of addiction or bad habit in their life ought to give God thanks and show their gratitude towards Him. For you know as much as I know that only He could eliminate the desires that are in your heart for what was evil. You may have tried many times and failed, but the day that You confessed your sins to God, and confessed that Jesus is Lord, He responded. He took your vial and wicked heart and made it brand new. So you now have brand new desires that please the Lord and no longer tear Him down. Therefore, you can resonate with David when he said, 1“they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses. He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder. Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!” (Psalm 107:13-15) And so again, David mentioned how those that believe in God, would also praise Him and speak about His goodness to others. So the questions is, are you grateful at all for what the Lord has done for you? If so, why not share things with others. This is a great way to witness your faith with people. I also mention this because it is Thanksgiving after all. And the best thing to be appreciative of, is what God has done for us. Sure, we can tell Him and others how grateful we are for our family, including wife and kids, our job, our home, and most importantly our salvation through Him. Because He is lighting up our lives, we have meaning. Therefore, we praise Him because of this.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I am so grateful for everything You have done for me, my family, my friends, and all those people that You have brought into my life over the years. Thank You also for hearing my prayers and for blessing and healing those people that were in need. Surely, the day that You came into my life, You have not left me, but have been there every day to lift up my burdens, that they may be light. I have not had to worry about my life getting to difficult, for there has always been peace and joy through Your presence. I may have been sick and had different things go south, but You have always been the person I needed to cry unto for mercy and healing. Thank You for leading me out of the darkness and for bringing me into Your light. Because You are near me, I don’t have to worry about addictions and bad habits creeping back into my life. This is because You have kept the enemy far from me, and for that I am very appreciative. My family has been doing so good over these past few years and You were the only one that could supply such happiness. Thank You so much for bringing good health to my wife and kids. I may be sick right now, but I know that You will heal me in Your own timing. I just pray that more people will think on You this day and forever. May they remember the good things You have done for them also. Thank You, Lord, for the cross. Because of Your payment for sins, I am forgiven. There is mercy because of your kindness and compassion. What a wonderful God you are. No one is like You. I love You Lord. Amen.
