Jesus Is The Reason For Christmas

Remember that Jesus is the reason for Christmas. Santa is only a mythical creature and cannot help us, but only Jesus, who saves. Therefore, go forth and teach your children the true meaning of Christmas, while giving praise to the King, who came to save us from our sins. This was told to Mary by the angel of the Lord, that ²“she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.” (Matthew 1:21) This is a true story and I am God’s witness to you all that Jesus lives. He did come to earth a little over two thousand years ago, in order to rescue us. And because Jesus came to earth and died for our sins, those who believe and confess their sins to Him openly in prayer are forgiven. There are no more animal sacrifices, but only a broken and contrite heart towards God. This was even foretold by David when he wrote, ¹“the sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.” (Psalm 51:17) So as believers in Jesus, we are open to Him about all things. We express exactly what is on our minds and hearts with Him in prayer. He is then able to give us wisdom and counsel for our lives, through the Holy Spirit. We are also like Jesus’s servants, while He was on earth, and go forth in faith and follow Jesus wherever He will lead us. This includes having Him open our lives to bless others through showcasing His love upon other people’s lives. This includes not just to family and friends, but to everyone we meet. Therefore, people that are less fortunate than us are blessed. And we do this willfully, the same way God would if He was on earth.

The best part about Christmas is not about presents, but to think about Jesus and to give to others. Doing this brings the greatest joy of all. Just as Jesus received gifts from the three wise men, who ³“when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense and myrrh.” (Matthew 2:11) What a time this must have been to witness the Messiah, and Lord of all, as a young baby first hand. It must have been a spectacular sight to see. And now we give as they did to God with our whole hearts to serve Him and to bless others, as He blesses us. We hearken to Jesus, when He said, ⁴“give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.” (Luke 6:38) Therefore, seeing any person in need should cause us to have compassion upon them. Just as God lifted us up from a life of sin and rescued us, we go to people in need and lead them to Jesus through the gospel message of the cross and resurrection. And because we love them, we help them with whatever circumstances they need. In prayer, we also lift them up to God to heal, protect, watch over, while delivering them His peace. Doesn’t it feel good to do this? It should since it is the joy of the Lord that enters our hearts when we do good towards others. So remember that it is better to give than to receive. And when this syncs in many people are blessed.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, oh how I adore You. You are Lord of all and I worship You. It is because of You, Jesus, that I have joy in my life. Even when sadness comes into my life, You are there to carry me and give me rest. I am at peace just thinking of Your bounteous blessings for my life. I surely don’t deserve Your great love for me, but still You love me more than anyone else has and ever will. I want the world to know that I believe In You for salvation. For in myself alone am I nothing. Only through Your hands am I made strong. I am grateful to have You in my life. Everything makes sense because You are there. You have given me eyes to see, and now I can see what is of the world and what is for You. And my decision is to live a life that honors You and not my own flesh any longer. I am done with all the guilt and shame in my life, because of willful sin, and give it all to You. It is much better to live in Your freedom, then to live in doubt and fear. It is surely amazing to find the answers I’ve been waiting for, just because I called upon Your Name, Jesus. You are my Redeemer and the Savior of all. Thank You for coming down and being born, that we might be rescued from our sins. You had a choice to make and it was to sacrifice Yourself for the sins of the world, and You did it gladly. Surely, You are the Lamb of God, who took away the sins of the world. I love and honor You. Allow Your light to shine in my life, that many people’s lives will be blessed. Because I have been given much, I can now give to others in need also. So lead me to those that are less fortunate and I will do as You command. I trust in You. Amen.

Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother’s eye.
43 For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
44 For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.
45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

47 Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like:
48 He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.
49 But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.
