Sexually Transmitted Diseases

There is a time when the Lord God has to punish people because they have forsaken Him. People who are living in sexual sin may obtain diseases like STDs, Herpes, HIV, Aids and even respiratory and the bodily problems. This can happen when a person sleeps around with the opposite or the same sex or other things. And you may not believe this, but looking at porn could cause people to get a form of sickness like what is mentioned above. Therefore, people need to be watchful in what they are doing, lest God strikes them down and they die before they have time to repent. This very thing happened with a man named Jehoram, who was a very wicked king. In his rage, he 1“slew all his brethren with the sword, and divers also of the princes of Israel.” (2 Chronicles 21:4) It is said of him that 1“he wrought that which was evil in the eyes of the Lord.” (2 Chronicles 21:6) And in regards to sexual sin, he 1“caused the inhabitants of Jerusalem to commit fornication, and compelled Judah thereto.” (2 Chronicles 21:11) So he was not only a fornicator and an adulterer in the sight of God, but also an instigator for others to commit these sinful and abominable things, which God hates. Therefore, God sent his holy prophet Elijah to write to him, in order for Jehoram to wake him up to his crimes before God. There was also a sickness that God put upon him, because of what he did. The same can said for people now. God may send his messengers to people, in order to wake them up to repentance, lest they also become sick and die in their sins.

Now, onto what Elijah told Jehoram in his letter. He said, 1“thus saith the Lord God of David thy father, Because thou hast not walked in the ways of Jehoshaphat thy father, nor in the ways of Asa king of Judah, but hast walked in the way of the kings of Israel, and hast made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to go a whoring, like to the whoredoms of the house of Ahab, and also hast slain thy brethren of thy father’s house, which were better than thyself: Behold, with a great plague will the Lord smite thy people, and thy children, and thy wives, and all thy goods: And thou shalt have great sickness by disease of thy bowels, until thy bowels fall out by reason of the sickness day by day.” (2 Chronicles 21:12-15) So because he caused others to sin in the same way as himself, a plague was put upon him and his whole family. Even he got a sickness in his bowels or intestinal area. So 1“the Lord smote him in his bowels with an incurable disease. And it came to pass, that in process of time, after the end of two years, his bowels fell out by reason of his sickness: so he died of sore diseases. And his people made no burning for him, like the burning of his fathers.” (2 Chronicles 21:18,19) Imagine a person that has all his bowels come out. Wow, this is the wrath of God on full display. The same can be said for Aids, which is also incurable. My friends, do not play around with fire, which is sinning willfully against God. Instead, repent and be made clean through the blood of Jesus. It isn’t worth losing our salvation and going to hell for.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that people will wake up to their sins this day. I know that many people that even say they are Christians are doing many sinful and abominable things in secret. They think that hiding it from people is ok, for nobody knows what they are up to but them. Oh, how wrong the wicked of this world have become. Don’t they know that You can see all things? Even when people are given over to looking at pornography, sleeping around, masturbating, doing drugs, drinking to get drunk, and other things, You see it all God. Even in your awesome presence, Your wrath is stirred up because of such people. Surely, we cannot get away with our crimes and still think we are ok with You and be saved. It is a fearful thing to fall into the living God, especially when we die in our sinful state. Therefore, I call people everywhere to wake up from their slumber. Don’t you see what You are doing is wrong? Lord, set a revival in the hearts of these people. May they come unto You and confess their sins before it is too late. I know that people can be humbled to a point of seeing how wretched they really are and repent, once and for all. You are so merciful and kind, but also just. I just pray that your mercy will fall upon every wicked person that repents, so that they do not have to experience hell, but be with You in heaven. Heaven is going to be so wonderful, Lord. I just hope and pray that more people will join us there. I don’t wish people to suffer, but to experience the joy of the Lord and Your great love that never ends. I love You, Lord. May Your blood cover every person that joins themselves to You today in prayer. Amen.

2 Chronicles 21
12 Chronicles 21 (KJV)
1 Now Jehoshaphat slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David. And Jehoram his son reigned in his stead.
2 And he had brethren the sons of Jehoshaphat, Azariah, and Jehiel, and Zechariah, and Azariah, and Michael, and Shephatiah: all these were the sons of Jehoshaphat king of Israel.
3 And their father gave them great gifts of silver, and of gold, and of precious things, with fenced cities in Judah: but the kingdom gave he to Jehoram; because he was the firstborn.
4 Now when Jehoram was risen up to the kingdom of his father, he strengthened himself, and slew all his brethren with the sword, and divers also of the princes of Israel.
5 Jehoram was thirty and two years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eight years in Jerusalem.
6 And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, like as did the house of Ahab: for he had the daughter of Ahab to wife: and he wrought that which was evil in the eyes of the Lord.
7 Howbeit the Lord would not destroy the house of David, because of the covenant that he had made with David, and as he promised to give a light to him and to his sons for ever.
8 In his days the Edomites revolted from under the dominion of Judah, and made themselves a king.
9 Then Jehoram went forth with his princes, and all his chariots with him: and he rose up by night, and smote the Edomites which compassed him in, and the captains of the chariots.
10 So the Edomites revolted from under the hand of Judah unto this day. The same time also did Libnah revolt from under his hand; because he had forsaken the Lord God of his fathers.
11 Moreover he made high places in the mountains of Judah and caused the inhabitants of Jerusalem to commit fornication, and compelled Judah thereto.
12 And there came a writing to him from Elijah the prophet, saying, Thus saith the Lord God of David thy father, Because thou hast not walked in the ways of Jehoshaphat thy father, nor in the ways of Asa king of Judah,
13 But hast walked in the way of the kings of Israel, and hast made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to go a whoring, like to the whoredoms of the house of Ahab, and also hast slain thy brethren of thy father’s house, which were better than thyself:
14 Behold, with a great plague will the Lord smite thy people, and thy children, and thy wives, and all thy goods:
15 And thou shalt have great sickness by disease of thy bowels, until thy bowels fall out by reason of the sickness day by day.
16 Moreover the Lord stirred up against Jehoram the spirit of the Philistines, and of the Arabians, that were near the Ethiopians:
17 And they came up into Judah, and brake into it, and carried away all the substance that was found in the king’s house, and his sons also, and his wives; so that there was never a son left him, save Jehoahaz, the youngest of his sons.
18 And after all this the Lord smote him in his bowels with an incurable disease.
19 And it came to pass, that in process of time, after the end of two years, his bowels fell out by reason of his sickness: so he died of sore diseases. And his people made no burning for him, like the burning of his fathers.
20 Thirty and two years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned in Jerusalem eight years, and departed without being desired. Howbeit they buried him in the city of David, but not in the sepulchres of the kings.
