God Formed Us In Our Mother’s Womb

One thing that amazes me about Job’s life, is that he endured life’s trials and never took his own life in suicide, even though times were very difficult for him. He was tried more than most people on earth and still, he never gave up on God. He continued his prayers without ceasing. Sure, he questioned God’s motives as to why he had to suffer, but many of us have also done the same. There is nothing wrong with asking God why there are hardships in our lives. It is in these hard times that we reflect upon our lives to see if we have sinned against God or not. Job did this, and in his reflections, he explained how life begins. In Job, chapter 10, starting with verse 1, it reads, 1“my soul is weary of my life; I will leave my complaint upon myself; I will speak in the bitterness of my soul. I will say unto God, Do not condemn me; shew me wherefore thou contendest with me. Is it good unto thee that thou shouldest oppress, that thou shouldest despise the work of thine hands, and shine upon the counsel of the wicked? Hast thou eyes of flesh? or seest thou as man seeth? Are thy days as the days of man? are thy years as man’s days, that thou enquirest after mine iniquity, and searchest after my sin? Thou knowest that I am not wicked; and there is none that can deliver out of thine hand.” (Job 10:1-7)

We learn that Job was tired of living a life of pain. His soul was bitter and asked God to not condemn him, but show him what His will is for his life. He then asked God point-blank, why he is causing him to be afflicted and despise the good things he has done in life. He mentioned how the people who are wicked are just fine, while he suffers. This made no sense to him. He also wanted to know if he had sinned against God so that he could make things right if necessary. This is awesome to see Job praying to God like this. He wanted answers and this is exactly what we should be doing as well when there are issues in our lives. The next part of his prayer to God is Job reflecting upon the day of his birth. Although he wished that he died while in his mother’s womb because of his pains now in life, we are able to understand where life begins. He said, 1“thine hands have made me and fashioned me together round about; yet thou dost destroy me. Remember, I beseech thee, that thou hast made me as the clay; and wilt thou bring me into dust again? Hast thou not poured me out as milk, and curdled me like cheese? Thou hast clothed me with skin and flesh, and hast fenced me with bones and sinews. Thou hast granted me life and favour, and thy visitation hath preserved my spirit.” (Job 10:8-12)

He continued and said, 1“wherefore then hast thou brought me forth out of the womb? Oh that I had given up the ghost, and no eye had seen me! I should have been as though I had not been; I should have been carried from the womb to the grave.” (Job 10:18,19) So we learn that life begins in the mother’s womb. Here is where God molds and shapes us into the person we are today. We are made similarly like pottery, of which a person uses clay. We were once like milk until God got a hold of us and curdled us like unto cheese. God breathed into us our spirit and has preserved us until we born. God allowed us to live past being in the mother’s womb and when we came forth for all to see. This gives credence to promoting life and not death in abortion. Any person that desires to kill their unborn baby is destroying God’s creation and masterpiece. Therefore, we ought to repent if we are for this horrific act. And if a person has already had an abortion, God is still willing to forgive you of your sins. When we have done things that we know offended God, we may want to give up on life. The same can be when we are living for God and are still pained with so many trials. But know that in death, we will be carried away into paradise if we loved God. Endure this life and you will be saved.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, thank You for creating me. I know that my life is one in a billion, but still, You cared enough to breath life into my soul, while in my mother’s womb. I am like the sand of the sea, but still, You care so deeply for my life like anyone else. How could You care enough for me when billions of other people also alive and breathing? I will never understand how I am still important in Your eyes when there are so many other people that need Your attention. All I know is that You are my God and I am grateful to have Your presence in my life. There may be trials in my life, but still, You come for me and carry me through the storms of life. I am not left alone, for You are always there for me when I need You. How awesome is it to think that You can hear all of my prayers and others from around the globe. Surely, You can see who is living for You and who is living for the flesh and sin. You can see who is trusting in You for salvation and who has already given up on You. There is nothing that happens in life that You are not aware of. Everything is an open book. Even our names are either written in Your book of life or they are nowhere to be found. As for me, Lord, I pray that my name is written in Your holy book and will stay there. All I desire is to live for You and do Your will. Nothing in this life matters unless You are there with me. If there is love, kindness, patience, forgiveness, patience, and boldness in my life, You have made it happen. Thank You, Jesus. Thank You, Lord. I give You praise and glory. I love You. Amen.
