What Happens To People Who Disregard God?

The time we live in now is much like what was described in Isaiah 17. Isaiah wrote the following in regards to the cities of Damascus and Aroer. “In that day shall his strong cities be as a forsaken bough, and an uppermost branch, which they left because of the children of Israel: and there shall be desolation. Because thou hast forgotten the God of thy salvation, and hast not been mindful of the rock of thy strength, therefore shalt thou plant pleasant plants, and shalt set it with strange slips: In the day shalt thou make thy plant to grow, and in the morning shalt thou make thy seed to flourish: but the harvest shall be a heap in the day of grief and of desperate sorrow.” (Isaiah 17:9-11) So we have the people who forgot the God of their salvation. They were not mindful to the rock, which gives them strength. Therefore, what they tried to do on their own ended up in turmoil and grief. Even in death are they very sorrowful because of their sins. And just like in the past, we have people who say they are Christian who have really forgotten God and put their strength in the things of this world instead. And just before, these people will one day die in their sins, unless they repent before that day comes. This is when they will fall down at the feet of Jesus in judgement and be sorrowful unto death because they knew they deserted Him and didn’t make Jesus the Lord of their lives. They don’t wish to be punished, but know that God is just by doing this.

Isaiah also said, “woe to the multitude of many people, which make a noise like the noise of the seas; and to the rushing of nations, that make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters! The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters: but God shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind. And behold at eveningtide trouble; and before the morning he is not. This is the portion of them that spoil us, and the lot of them that rob us.” (Isaiah 17:12-14) And to the people who never made God apart of their lives, these people may make a noise in this world because of their accomplishments, but all this will be for not when they die. People like this are the LGBTQ or Gay Pride Community. Their voices are very loud in the rights they desire in the nation we live in. And just as they expected the rights are being given to them, where many states are also allowing gay marriages to take place. This is very sad, but true in this wicked society we live in. However, these people may think they have joy now, but soon will they see the error in their ways. I wish that this day would in their lifetime, but sadly this realization of this sinful state will come in judgement before God after they have died. Then, fear will come upon them, as well as grief and sadness, because of where they will go next, which is the lake of fire. . The suffering will be absolutely terrible in this place.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that people will begin to see the error of their ways. That when good Christians approach them of their sins, that they will take their counsel with joy. Even to the point of confessing their sins to You in prayer. Lord, there are way too many people who call themselves Christians who also walk in the ways of darkness and don’t even care one bit. And to approach them of about there sins, they take offense and say, “stop judging me”. This is what I call a generation of people who disregard other people’s opinions when it comes to their lifestyle. They even hate it when we try to point them to You and to no longer willfully sin, which is very disheartening. Even so many people are making a noise in this society about worldly things, but are slow to speak about anything that is of You. People are quick to go home and turn on their TV, but slow to pick up the Bible and read it. They are anxious to pick up their smartphone throughout the day but have no time to pray to You. What a perverse and wicked generation we live in. So many people are lifted up in the cares of this world and living a life that goes against You and are unwilling to see the error in their ways. So Lord, lead people in the faith to them, that they may speak for You and plant seeds in their hearts. I do not wish to see more people be found guilty because of their neglect to know and follow You, but that more people will become born again of the Holy Spirit. Lord, I am asking for You to pierce the hearts of the wicked, even in dreams, visions, and through people. Set them free through Your mighty power. I believe in You, Jesus. I trust in You for salvation. I love You, Lord. Amen.
