The Vision Of The Sealed Book

In Mormonism, that church/cult has proclaimed that the sealed book, of which is referenced in Isaiah 29, refers to their beloved Book of Mormon. In saying this, they have gone on record to say that it refers to the sealed plates, of which Joseph Smith translated. Those verses are found below… Now, before we jump to those verses, let us understand a few important things first. Since Isaiah never put a stamp on what this book means, that means we need additional scripture to understand it. That is where Revelation 5 comes into play, which sounds very similar to what Isaiah is speaking of. So their belief is simply a man-made conclusion, that tells me they have never really studied Revelation 5 and beyond in detail. We will get to those verses next, but just understand that the sealed scroll or book is mentioned their as well, of which nobody could open, which were learned or unlearned, but only Jesus. Now, looking at the verses in Isaiah, we know that it does not refer to the Book of Mormon, since it agrees with Revelation saying that nobody who is learned or not who will be able to open the seals. So this counts out Joseph Smith or any other man. Also, the Book of Mormon was supposedly translated from the golden plates, which were not sealed at all. Therefore, their man-made book has nothing to do with this vision found in Isaiah, but possibly the sealed book or seal in revelation.

Isaiah 29
Isaiah 29:11-20 (KJV)
11 And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed:
12 And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned.
13 Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:
14 Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.
15 Woe unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the Lord, and their works are in the dark, and they say, Who seeth us? and who knoweth us?
16 Surely your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter’s clay: for shall the work say of him that made it, He made me not? or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no understanding?
17 Is it not yet a very little while, and Lebanon shall be turned into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field shall be esteemed as a forest?
18 And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness.
19 The meek also shall increase their joy in the Lord, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.
20 For the terrible one is brought to nought, and the scorner is consumed, and all that watch for iniquity are cut off:

In the Book of Revelation, chapter 5, we learn more about a sealed book or scroll and how nobody was worthy to open it except for Jesus. The lamb of God, who was slain for the sins of this world was only worthy to open its pages. Those verses are found below… And if you continue reading in the book of revelation, you will learn much more about what was found in the sealed book, which are the seven seals. These are the seals mentioned in chapters 6, 8, and 11 of revelation. Namely, the white horse (1st seal), red horse (2nd seal), black horse (3rd seal), pale horse (4th seal), martyrs cry out (5th seal), celestial signs (6th seal), rapture (7th seal). As these seals are unleashed upon the earth, every person will know of God’s fierce wrath and judgments upon the earth. Those in the Lord will rejoice in these dark times, for they will know that the Lord is drawing nigh. And finally, when the last seal is opened, the two witnesses will rise up from the dead and go up in the clouds to be with Jesus. Now, concerning what the Mormon church has done by saying the book mentioned in Isaiah is their Book of Mormon, this was only a belief formed by men. Even Muslims believe that this book is the Quran. If what I mentioned is correct about this book being the sealed scroll or book that Jesus opened, we don’t know either, but it is the most plausible choice, which makes the most sense.

Revelation 5
Revelation 5:1-9 (KJV)
1 And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.
2 And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?
3 And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.
4 And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.
5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.
7 And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.
8 And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.
9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that people will have ears to hear You and eyes to know the truths in this world. Help people understand what is wicked and what is righteous in Your sight. Give them over to a new way of thinking that comes from the Bible and earnest prayer, that their old belief system will be destroyed. Lord, lead people away from every man-made belief, that they may know of Your teachings and rejoice. So many people are being led astray by people who portray themselves as Your servant, but they are all wolves on the inside. This is because of Satan and his demonic army upon the earth, which needs to be stopped. People don’t realize this, but he has already infiltrated into the hearts of millions upon millions of people, and even people who say they are Christian. God, how can this be? If people would just abide in Your love, then the enemy would have no way to enter their lives. They would surround to You, then Your armor would help them not fall under his temptations. Surely, temptation can be good on the outside, but so evil and messy on the inside. They lead us into darkness, where Your light can no longer enter in. This is when people need to learn to call upon Your Name in times of trouble and in good times also. If You are not leading us in our everyday life, how can people expect to remember to call upon You for safety when times are hard. Lord, I pray that people will understand how powerful the Bible and prayer is. That through it, You are able to give us understanding and knowledge that cannot be given through men. So Lord, cast out of people’s hearts every false belief, that they may leave every false way and enter into Your righteous path. I believe in You, Jesus. I trust in You. You are my greatest delight and my joy. I love You. Amen.
