Job 1:18-22

Job 1:18-22 (KJV)
18 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, Thy sons and thy daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother’s house:
19 And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.
20 Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped,
21 And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.
22 In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.

Today’s Prayer (06/26/2020)

Oh Lord, I give You thanks for my life, my wife’s, and my two daughters. Thank You for my house and all that we possess. It all comes from Your hand. If I have anything good, it is because You supply it. Thank You for watching over me and for leading me in the ways that are righteous. I know that I would never be the person I am today unless You were leading me. So I give You glory and praise. Thank You for saving a wretch like me. Thank You for having mercy for my soul, though I had lived such a wayward life. You saw potential in me, that I might have favor in Your sight. All I desire is to live for You now. My mind has been changed and conformed to Your will and I can see clearly now. Your joy remains no matter the hardships I face in life. Only things temporary that are of the flesh do leave us over time. Even our family, who we love and keep dear to our hearts, do grow old and die. Sometimes it is when people are young and ripe in their years of schooling and raising their children. Lord, I don’t know why bad things happen to good people, but I know that You do. So I will continue to leave all my trials in Your hands. All I ask of You God is to lead me out of these hardships. I don’t know why I am afflicted so much, but I know that You are capable of leading me and my family to greener pastures. We don’t have to suffer in this life alone, for You are always there for us. Lord, I pray that You will always be near me when I pray and even when seek You during the day. Lead me and guide me in this darkened world. I wish to always have direction and be led on Your path of righteousness. May I be counted worthy in Your sight and live a life that is pleasing to You and not the world. I love You, Jesus. Amen.

Today’s Prayer (06/25/2020)

Oh Lord, I pray for every brother and sister in the faith. May they come to know the reality of Your great love and then desire to showcase it among their neighbors. What is it for us to get upset with people who are new to the faith, but rejoice in their salvation instead. Even people we know, where walls have been built up because of all the evil things they have done to us over the years, it is up to us to simply forgive them as You already forgave them. It is Your guidance and direction in our lives, Lord, that helps us love and forgive one another as You forgive us. Surely, we are incapable of forgiving people that have treated us so badly, unless you are there to help us. Our fleshly instincts say to hurt them back like they have hurt us, and to see them suffer because of what they have done. But I know that these fleshly desires are wrong and need to be removed from our lives, in order to follow You completely. For how can we say that we are forgiven when we cannot forgive others. Surely, You will only forgive those that will forgive one another. So, Lord, I pray that an outpouring of the Holy Spirit will come into my life and others in the faith also. Teach us how to live this life for You. Help us put down our pride and arrogance, that we may be lifted up in love and kindness towards people instead. The times that I have forgiven people of their crimes against me is when the Holy Spirit has come into my life more completely. The more I can give away of my own fleshly desires, the more I can live this life to honor You and not men. And if my desires are to see people be saved in Your kingdom, which it is, then no matter who the person is I am there to welcome them home. I am there to rejoice with them. They were lost and had done sinful things, but they are now found and made new In Your presence. I love You, Lord. Amen.

Jonah 4:1-4

Jonah 4:1-4 (KJV)
1 But it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he was very angry.
2 And he prayed unto the Lord, and said, I pray thee, O Lord, was not this my saying, when I was yet in my country? Therefore I fled before unto Tarshish: for I knew that thou art a gracious God, and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repentest thee of the evil.
3 Therefore now, O Lord, take, I beseech thee, my life from me; for it is better for me to die than to live.
4 Then said the Lord, Doest thou well to be angry?

Sinner’s Prayer (06/24/2020)

Oh Lord, I am sorry for my sins. I know that You can see my life, and nothing is done in secret. Therefore, I am filthy in Your sight and weighed down by my sins. I feel terrible for betraying You and going after the lusts of my flesh, instead of standing strong. Will You forgive a wretch like me? I know that I have strayed from Your presence, but I am here now in order to be changed and led from the darkness I have been in and be led into Your light. I bend my knee before You and plead for Your mercy. It is my true desire to start looking to You in faith and not be led by the enemy any longer. All I ask of You is to give me clean hands, that I may not fall victim to the same evil things as before. Cast out of my life anything that is still clinging to the addictions, and bad habits I have been under. Take every evil influence away from my life. I don’t want any part of it, even these wicked people I have been hanging around with, I want nothing more of what they offer. All I desire is that You cleanse me through Your blood. Make me whole again, Jesus. Sanctify me and place me on Your righteous path. I will pray more often and start reading the Bible daily, for I need Your wisdom. Know that I am ready to follow You now, even every step of the way. You are my Lord and my God. The king of my life. I trust in You. Please forgive me. I pray that You will take me in. I am waiting on You, Lord. I want to be used by You now. I love You, Jesus. May my life also showcase this love in all that I say and do. Amen.

Jonah 3:6-9

Jonah 3:6-9 (KJV)
6 For word came unto the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid his robe from him, and covered him with sackcloth, and sat in ashes.
7 And he caused it to be proclaimed and published through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing: let them not feed, nor drink water:
8 But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily unto God: yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their hands.
9 Who can tell if God will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not?

Today’s Prayer (06/23/2020)

Oh Lord, my God, thank You for hearing my cries this day and in the past. I’ve gone through many trials and tribulations in this life, and You have always been there for me. I was never left alone, for You were there to comfort me. Even in the trials, I am going through now because of my job situation, I trust that You know best and that things will get better soon. I may not know the time table of when things will work out for my good, but You do. So I simply call upon Your Name for guidance and direction, that I may be led to the right job and no longer have to worry about financial troubles ahead. You are my supplier of everything that is good. Having a job is just a part of life, but having Your love in my life is what I can take with me into eternity. Lord, I may not have always looked to You in faith, but I am dedicated to You now. You are the Lord God who saves, and no one could save a wretch like me, but You. I deserved death a long time ago, but still, You spared my life and had compassion for my soul. Only You could see the potential in me when I could see nothing. My life ahead of me was so bleak, but You filled in the gaps until everything became so clear as to what I should be doing. It is Your great love that has called me out of the darkness and into Your light. I don’t have to worry about sin and shame plundering my life any longer, for You are with me now. I have taken Your hand and You have raised me up into newness of life. I may not have been able to serve You faithfully in the past, but I am more than capable now. If You are leading me, then nothing in this world can take me down. I love You, Jesus, more than anything this world can offer me. You are the rock upon which I stand. A firm foundation. I give You glory and praise, this day and forever. Amen.

Jonah 2:1-4

Jonah 2:1-4 (KJV)
1 Then Jonah prayed unto the Lord his God out of the fish’s belly,
2 And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the Lord, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice.
3 For thou hadst cast me into the deep, in the midst of the seas; and the floods compassed me about: all thy billows and thy waves passed over me.
4 Then I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will look again toward thy holy temple.

Today’s Prayer (06/22/2020)

Oh Lord, I pray that You will raise up warriors in Your kingdom. People that hunger for Your words and love to be led by Your hand. I know that this type of person is hard to find nowadays and I pray that You will stir up this type of faith in individuals that say they believe in You. We need more people who are willing to step out in faith and not just keep what they know to themselves. How can we say we believe in You when we are so ashamed to share the gospel with others? As Christians, the gospel of Jesus Christ, which involves the cross and the resurrection, is the power of God which saves us from destruction, as it is said in 1 Corinthians 1:18. We are not ashamed of the gospel, because in it comes Your mighty power. If Your presence is with me, then there is power and great authority from on high. I am grateful to have You in my life, and will never again run from what You have called me to. At first it may seem difficult to stop and share the gospel with people on the streets and even stop and help the homeless, but You are the one that gives us this boldness. Just like Jonah, You were willing to be there for Him, if He would just give You a chance. Praise God, that something happened to him, while he was in the belly of the fish. I just pray that more people will also come to a realization of what they are doing for and against You now. And if there is sin in their life, come and cast it out immediately. Sin is what deters so many people from serving You, and it is very sad that people allow these willful sins to linger in their lives. If people would just live out their lives for You, then they would also gain the gift of the Holy Spirit and no longer fear what people think of them. I love You, Lord. Your ways are true, and I pray that more people will start doing what You say. I give You glory, this day and forever. May Your ways become my ways. Amen.

Jonah 1:13-17

Jonah 1:13-17 (KJV)
13 Nevertheless the men rowed hard to bring it to the land; but they could not: for the sea wrought, and was tempestuous against them.
14 Wherefore they cried unto the Lord, and said, We beseech thee, O Lord, we beseech thee, let us not perish for this man’s life, and lay not upon us innocent blood: for thou, O Lord, hast done as it pleased thee.
15 So they took up Jonah, and cast him forth into the sea: and the sea ceased from her raging.
16 Then the men feared the Lord exceedingly, and offered a sacrifice unto the Lord, and made vows.
17 Now the Lord had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.

When We Run From God

Many people run from God, but doing this has consequences like we see with Jonah. So do as God says and don’t run from Him.

Today’s Prayer (06/21/2020)

Oh Lord, I pray that people who say they believe in You will also put You first. So many people I have talked to over the years that call themselves Christian don’t have much time in their day to read the Bible and even pray. They are so consumed with the things of this world, that making time for You is less important to them. These are people who are lost but think their salvation is sure, when really they are in jeopardy of going to hell. Even, unknowingly do they walk these dark paths which lead to destruction and don’t find out that they wasted their whole life until it is all set and done in death. Lord, this is very sad news to think that the majority of people out there are really entering through the broad gate, and not the narrow gate, which leads to heaven. I wish that people would look at themselves in the mirror and start repenting of their sins. Then, will they see how far gone they really are in the faith, and wake up to their sins. Then will they call upon Your Name for mercy. Surely, forgiveness is given to everyone who is humble and desires to be born again. There is hope for people who desire to be cleansed by Your blood, Jesus. People cannot go down other paths and expect forgiveness, but only through seeking You first and making You the God of their lives. So come into these people’s lives and cast out all the idols that they have created for themselves. Then, will they understand the need to do Your will and put aside other things that are sinful. Other things that are not sinful can still take place, but should never consume what we do or become our priority in life. People just need to be awakened to understand this truth. As for me, I will continue to walk in Your ways till my last breath. I love to worship You, learn from You, serve You, and be guided by Your hand. I also love to help others in need and pray for them also. I love You, Lord. I give You praise and honor. Amen.

Matthew 6:31-34

Matthew 6:31-34 (KJV)
31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Today’s Prayer (06/20/2020)

Lord, I love You so much. Thank You for saving a wretch like me. You are so gracious and such a forgiving God. Your mercy endures forever. Thank You for delivering me from the path of destruction. I was on the pathway to hell until You delivered me the evil one. I thought I had it all figured out until You intervened and set my life in order. I did not know what showcasing love to my neighbor really meant until the gift of the Holy Spirit came into my life. I was wracked with guilt and shame most of my life, because of the lusts of my flesh. Only You could come into my life and tame those evil emotions so that they would not get out of control again. Lord, You have poured down from the heavens Your amazing gifts and I stand amazed every day that I have breath. You have given me the courage to walk differently than the world, even in Your holiness do I live my life. If I am made righteous, You have done it all. Nothing I could ever do could conform me to Your ways, oh Lord, but Your mighty hand. So now I wake each day and look to You in faith. If I am called to go on the streets and declare the gospel to the lost, I do it. If I am called to help a brother or sister in Christ, I run to their occasion. Even people of the world, I showcase the same love and kindness towards them, as I do towards the saints of God. This love pours through my faith in You and into the lives of everyone I am around. Lord, I know that You will soon return to this earth. Yes, Jesus, I am ready for that day and long to be with You forever. What a glorious day it will be when we will all reign with You, my king, on the new earth and the new heaven. My wish is to be able to run into Your arms. I love You, God. Amen.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 (KJV)
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

The Rapture

With Christ’s return comes the rapture of the saints. Live your life for Jesus, that you may be included with those who are saved.

Today’s Prayer (06/19/2020)

Oh Lord, I give You thanks, this day and forever. Thank You for being there in my life. Thank You for protecting me from the enemy. There is peace in my life because I am safe from every wicked and vial temptation that the enemy throws at me. I may not have been able to escape these sinful things before, but You have built me up to be the person I am today. If I am righteous, You have made me righteous. If I am holy, You have made me holy. If I am pure, You have made me pure. If I am filthy, the world has made me this way. If I am lusting and coveting things I shouldn’t, then my flesh has taken over. I know when I am for You and when I am against You. And sin is what destroys me from the inside out each time that I fall. I know that I have left You and I am sorry. So Lord, keep me ever in Your presence. As You have set me free from a life of bondage and sin, I have been given a clear mind, so that I can think clearly and make the right choices. The sins of this world are exactly that, very sinful and filthy in my eyes. Why would I wonder any longer in sin, if it is only going to lead me to feel more guilty and shameful later on about my life? It is like a roller coaster ride of depression and guilt that I do not wish to go through anymore. So take my hand, dear Lord. Help me to fight the good fight and not fall victim to any more addictions that will only take me down a place I should never be. Where You are is where I want to be. And I know that You are calling me to love one another. To not be so caught up in what benefits our own flesh, but what can benefit one another instead. You are who makes me selfless. I cannot do this on my own. So thank You, God. I love You, Lord, and to love one another is the least I can do. I give You praise and great glory! Amen.
