Oh Lord, I pray that people will keep an open mind when it comes to what the Bible says, although their church may teach something differently. It is important that people continue to search the scriptures, that they may not be led astray by false brethren, teachers, apostles, and prophets. I wish that every person that goes to a church could be saved, but I know that this is not possible. If people continue bearing with different cults that teach another gospel, then they never really knew You, Lord. What they did find is a type of Christ, but not the true living Jesus, that You are to Christians. We have found the gospel of the cross and resurrection to be the power of God, but to the Mormons, the cross is an afterthought. It is important that we remember that You rose from the grave, but without preaching the cross, I cannot even think of a way that we could be saved. For it is through the blood which You shed for us on the cross, that the sins of the world might be paid. You did this for us freely, Lord, and I am so grateful. How could people downplay this most important event and take it away by substituting the atonement on the cross for Gethsemane? Do people not realize what they are doing when they manipulate the Bible into reading the way they want and not what You wish? And so we have hundreds of teachings that come from cults that are a disgrace in Your sight and mine. I love You more than anything that appears good on the surface. Therefore, I will follow You and not false teachers who are leading people astray. I trust in You, God, alone. I love You. Amen.
