The Promises Of Abraham Are Extended To The Gentiles

In times past, the mystery of the gentiles being partakers of God’s promises to Abraham through the gospel of Christ was not given. Before Jesus came to earth salvation was for the Jewish people. But now that Jesus died on the cross, forgiveness, and salvation are extended to all people that would come unto Him in faith. Paul said, “for this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles, if ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward: How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel.” (Ephesians 3:1-6) This is such good news and we should praise God that the doors to His kingdom have also been opened unto us the gentiles. If you are not a Jew then, this news should be the best news ever. And if you are a Jew that has received Christ, then know that because of His sacrifice on the cross many more souls are in heaven now with other fellow Jews. So many people are going to be arrayed in white robes, come the day they receive their rewards in judgment. Will you be one of these precious souls who make it through life’s trials and later experience the joys of heaven? I pray that you will be found worthy come that day.

Paul also said, “whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power. Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God.” (Ephesians 3:7-10) My friends, and brothers and sisters in the faith, I am also so humbled like Paul to be saved by what Jesus did on the cross. I may not be a Jews, who is sharing what Jesus did for us with the world, but I do the same as a Gentile. To preach the good news of the cross and resurrection is like telling people I have the cure to cancer, but it is much greater than that. The knowledge of what Jesus did on the cross is spiritually life-saving. He is our Savior and our God. He is the creator of all things heaven and earth. The mysteries of heaven are now unfolded unto His people. No matter if they are Jews or Gentiles, we are all the same now. Seek the hand of God in your life and His wisdom and knowledge will be given unto You. If you have not experienced this yet, then come unto Him, fully surrendering your life to Jesus, in prayer. Then, you shall be forgiven and also saved by the blood of Jesus. If you love Jesus, then give Him a shout of praise today. He surely deserves it.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I give You thanks for saving me. Although I am not a Jew, Your sacrifice for sins on the cross has allowed me to be a partaker of heaven. Thank You for extending Abraham’s promises to the gentiles, like unto the Jews. You placed me exactly in the family I should be raised in. Not in a Jewish family, but in a family that would be open to receiving Jesus as Lord and Savior. Thank You, God. I just pray that not only I but the rest of my family will come unto You fully. Receiving what You did for us on the cross, Jesus, is imperative to our salvation. It must not just be what we’ve heard of, but what we have received in our lives. I receive Your sacrifice God, and I also pray that I may not go back in my sinful state like before. The Holy Spirit was absent then, and I need the Spirit now every hour. Even, every day do I seek Your hand for guidance and direction. Come into my life, Lord, like never before. Take hold of my hand and lead me straightway into heaven. Go against the enemy and strike Him down when He tries to tempt me. It is not worth being found guilty after the fact. Help control the lusts of my flesh, that it might be solely for my wife in marriage. May my eyes be fixed upon You, that others may see my allegiance to my Savior and also follow You. It is my prayer, that my children will grow up knowing You, Jesus, as their Lord, God, and Savior. Light up their lives as You have lit up mine. And may my wife come to know You as I have also. I hope to see my family in heaven one day, while being forever in Your matchless presence. I love You, God. Amen.
