If We Say We Have No Sin, We Deceive Ourselves

Everybody sins. The day we think we are not sinning is when we need to get down on our knees and repent. It was John that spoke on this also and said, “if we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.” (1 John 1:8-10)

I have met many people who have stopped repenting. Because they have now learned to justify their sinful actions, they no longer think what they are doing is sinful. A sinful lifestyle that involves homosexuality, sex outside of marriage, pornography, lust, and more come to my mind. Many people think if what they are doing is not harming anyone else, then it must be ok. This is so wrong. Only through confession, can a person become clean. This is necessary to be saved. Amen.

Sinner’s pray:
Lord, I believe in You. I trust in You. You have helped me learn that I am not without sin. I have sinned against You and the people I love. You know the things I have done in secret and in the public’s eyes. I am so sorry for the wicked things I have done. I pray that You will cleanse me of all my sins and wash me clean. Lead me from here on out and I know that I will be safe from the enemy. Through Your power in my life, I can do all things. I love You, Lord. Have Your way in my life. Amen.
