The Alpha And Omega

When Jesus returns, every person who has breath shall see Him. “Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, to execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men’s persons in admiration because of advantage.” (Jude 1:14-16) “Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.” (Revelation 1:7,8) Let this sink in that every ungodly sinner will be destroyed on the day of our Lord Jesus’s return. God’s wrath is upon them. Where the righteous will be caught up to be with Him. Who is Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, and with all angels. Even the righteous who have died will also join us in this first resurrection. How amazing does that sound? So good. Praise the Lord!

The Book of Revelation has the testimony of Jesus in it, who we learn is God, even the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last. He is the Son of Man. John wrote, “I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.” (Revelation 1:9-13) What Jesus has to tell us about the end times and His coming, we need to listen up. Next we will even get a glimpse of His heavenly appearance and also learn what these seven golden candlesticks are. God’s mysteries are for us.

There is no mystery when it comes to the seven candlesticks. “The seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.” (Revelation 1:20) Now, for what the Son of Man, or Jesus looks like, we learn that “His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.” (Revelation 1:14-18) “The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches.” (Revelation 1:20) This same Jesus, who is over all the angels in heaven and people on earth, I serve with all my heart, mind, and strength. He died for my sins and all the world, then defeated the grave through His resurrection. Jesus holds the keys to those in hell and paradise. Faith in Him alone is what really saves us.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I love Your ways. Your wisdom is for me. I have openned my heart and am ready to receive all the wisdom and knowledge that You wish to pour into my life. I pray that You will unfold unto me and others Your mysteries. May Your words in scripture no longer be difficult to understand for people. Surely, Your words are a blessing to my life, and wish others could see this. I am simply amazed that I am able to pray to the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last. Even the Son of Man, who died for the sins of this world and then rose from the grave. You have done so much for all mankind. It is a travesty that only a few million people among the billions can see this. I pray that people will see this about You before their time is up. For only You have the power to save, not religion. There is power from on high and I worship You, my King. Forgive me of all my sins. Wash me clean through Your blood. I am sanctified through Your continued presence in my daily life. One day I hope to die and go to paradise, where I will wait anxiously to be with You in heaven and the new earth. And if I am destined to be raptured up at Your coming instead of dying, praise God. You know my future and I give You everything. I love You, Lord. Amen.
