One of the greatest verses when it comes to what it will be like after we are raptured comes in Revelation, chapter 7. We have the angels coming from the four corners of the earth sealing God’s people on their foreheads. This is just the beginning before they are raptured up. As for the rest of God’s people, they have been raptured and are with the Lord by the Father’s throne. This sets the scene for what we read next in verses 9 through 17. Let’s get into the verses now, for they are amazing. John wrote, “after this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; and cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.” (Revelation 7:9-12) We know that believers will go before the Father’s throne and Jesus once they are raptured up to be with God. They then are clothed with white robes, hold a palm in their hands, and worship the Lamb, who is Jesus. They then wait till destruction is poured out upon the earth through the seven trumpet calls by the angels of the Lamb. Soon after, is where Jesus returns with His saints, and the wicked are destroyed.
It is at this point when God’s people are before Him in heaven. They are then revealed who they are, those who came out of the great tribulation. It is written, “and one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.” (Revelation 7:13-17) So God’s people were part of the great tribulation, which took place with the seven seals in Revelation. It was not easy what they went through, but so worth it in the end. Praise God that these people in the near future stay strong in the faith of Jesus. That is why they did not have to bear the worst part of the tribulation, which happens with the seven trumpets. Instead, God’s people no longer thirst or hunger, but have everything they ever needed. We can drink freely of the fountains of water. It is in this place, where there is paradise, that God will wipe away every tear from our eyes. There will be no more sorrow or death. Praise God. Amen.
Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I trust in You. Keep me on Your holy and righteous path that leads to heaven. Lead me from temptation and far from the clutches of the enemy. Keep my eyes focused on what is most important in life, which is working for Your kingdom. This way I will be led by You and not the lusts of the flesh. In sin, I suffer, but in Your service, there is joy. I wish to know You greater than I do now. Give me wisdom and knowledge from above. Teach me, God. Take away any veil that is before me now. Help me know how to reach the lost for Your kingdom. Speak through me now and at all times and in all places. If I am acting on my own will, stop me. Nobody will ever come to know You through me alone. Only if You speak through me will people fully understand Your great love for them. Surely, You don’t wish anybody to die and perish in their unbelief, but to enter paradise in death. But there is one thing I look forward to more than anything else. It is Your return, Jesus. I may not have been around when You were on earth the first time, but I pray that I will be when You return for Your church the second time. I am speaking of the rapture. Before the tribulation can get even worse, I know from scripture that You will call upon Your angels to round up Your saints from the four corners of the earth. If I am so blessed to be found worthy on that day, come for me also. I want to be where You are. I sing praises to Your Name this day and forever. I worship You, my King. Yes, Jesus, You are my God and I glorify Your Name. Amen.
