The Millennial Reign Of Christ: Part 1

Before the great white throne judgment begins, there is peace and harmony upon this earth for a thousand years. This is because Satan is bound in the bottomless pit during this time. The devil is no longer able to deceive people on the earth at this time. Therefore, demonic spirits and the enemy’s temptations will not be present, allowing God’s saints to walk in His righteousness and not sin. But the best part of all is that those who are blessed to be upon the earth at this time will have Jesus in their midst. They will live long lives and not have to worry about the sicknesses or pains we deal with now. It will be a joyous time for every person who has ever desired to have Him in their lives personally. I know I long for this day, for Jesus is my Lord and my everything. We read about all this and more in the following verses. “And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, and cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.” (Revelation 20:1-3) Later we learn that people were given thrones, that were used for judgment sake. These people of God will be judging the fallen angels, for Paul said, “know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?” (1 Corinthians 6:3)

The people around at this time are those who were killed for their faith, and/or didn’t get the mark of the beast, but worshipped Jesus. Every person that loved the Lord and is able to reign with Christ during these thousand years is so blessed. Not only is the Prince of Peace now in their midst, but they are also a part of the first resurrection. These people are spared from the second death and the lake of fire. And not only this but while Jesus is on the earth, God’s people will be set apart as His priests. John saw this and said, “and I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.” (Revelation 20:4-6) What a time this will be! Will God choose you or me to be around at this time? I sure pray the answer is yes. All we can do is live our lives fully surrendered to Jesus while being His living witness on earth, and we will be forever blessed. Please pray to God for forgiveness and mercy is you have fallen into sin. You will not regret this choice. Amen.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that we will not give in to the enemy and fall away before this life is over. Satan has so many tricks up his sleeves to steer us in a direction that doesn’t save us. I have fallen for his traps many times. Thankfully now, I have not continued in that wayward life, but run to Your feet each time for forgiveness. In times past, I would have easily gone days and months doing the same lustful things over and over again. For this reason, I give You thanks for helping me hate even the appearance of evil, and not holding any grudges over me. You could have easily given up on me a long time again, but Your patience showed true to who You are, God. You know exactly what the enemy does to take me down, and when I put my trust in You, You become my shield. No matter if my flesh desires for the things of this world at times, You remind me that I should never do things that will grieve the Holy Spirit. Thank You for speaking to me, God. I am blessed to know that You are leading me by Your hand. I don’t deserve to have Your presence in my life, but You still come and help me. What I need is Your healing hands over me at all times. I am sick and have need of a physician. Forgive me, Lord, and cleanse me of all my sins. Heal me of my sicknesses and raise me up into newness of life. My heart, mind, and soul love You and are focused on doing Your will and not my will or the will of man. You give me the strength to overcome the enemy. Thank You, God. I love You, Lord. Amen.
