After The Flood

After the flood receded and dry ground was seen, God spoke unto Noah and told him and his family to help lead the animals off the boat along with themselves. And most importantly, to remember what was told of men and women from the beginning, which was to be fruitful and multiply upon the earth. Just like Adam and Eve, God was doing a do-over with Noah and his family. It is written, “and God spake unto Noah, saying, go forth of the ark, thou, and thy wife, and thy sons, and thy sons’ wives with thee. Bring forth with thee every living thing that is with thee, of all flesh, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth; that they may breed abundantly in the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply upon the earth. And Noah went forth, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons’ wives with him.” (Genesis 8:15-18) As we continue to read in Genesis, we will learn that people heeded this command. It didn’t take long before many cities and also countries were formed. Of course, it was little by little, but as time went on, the world began to populate like it was before the flood. Sure, the technology that they once had was lost. Those inventors were killed and so they had to start over. It is true that two thousand years of what they accomplished was put to not, but this does happen to people who do not believe in God. In Jesus’s second coming, this will be made evident when things are destroyed.

Archeologists are finding things that existed thousands of years ago, even before the flood. Things like the great pyramids in Egypt come to find, along with all the ancient carvings of people that came from space, which could very well be the angels that came down in order to take wives for themselves. This is recorded in Genesis 6. It is true that the technology that was lost must have been great, and could be like we have today, especially if Atlantis existed then. It is just a mystery that we won’t ever really know for sure. These verses in Genesis continue and say, “Every beast, every creeping thing, and every fowl, and whatsoever creepeth upon the earth, after their kinds, went forth out of the ark. And Noah builded an altar unto the Lord; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar. And the Lord smelled a sweet savour; and the Lord said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake; for the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done. While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” (Genesis 8:19-22) It is wonderful to see Noah make a sacrifice to God and remain faithful to Him. And now it is up to us to keep the faith and trust in Jesus, that we may also be spared from God’s wrath to come. Amen.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, help us to look to You in faith all of our days. Your commandments are being trodden down by the world and even many so-called Christians in the time we live in. I’ve talked to so many people who think obedience to You is no longer necessary, which includes Your commandments. If they just knew that the Holy Spirit is the person who has led me to obey You with all my heart, mind, and strength. I wouldn’t think about turning my back on what You have called me to do, and not repent afterward if I did so. I have done some terrible things, of which I am very sorry for, Lord. Please forgive me. I give You thanks for Your mercy and for Your continued guidance and direction. One of your commands I have recently been thinking about is where You called Adam and Eve and Noah and his family to multiple and replenish the earth. I love this commandment, for my wife and two daughters are truly a blessing in my life. I may only have two children, but with them, I am truly grateful. It just breaks my heart to see people trample on the need to have children with their distaste for life when it comes to abortion. How could anybody feel right in their hearts about killing off Your creation? How could anybody say they are Christian and still go forward in doing this murderous act to their unborn child? Forgive them, Lord, for they do not know what they are doing. I believe in You. I trust in You. I love You, Jesus. Amen.
