Vengeance Is In God’s Hand

During the time of Moses’s birth, the Pharaoh caused every newborn son to be cast into the river in order to be drowned to death. Thankfully, Moses was saved. However, this wicked moment of time was documented by God. He did wait to bring vengeance upon the Egyptians, but as years went by, He would finally cause the same calamity to happen to the Egyptians also with their firstborn sons. But before God repaid them for what they did, let’s see what the pharaoh did when he caused the Hebrew sons to die. It is written, “and the king of Egypt spake to the Hebrew midwives, of which the name of the one was Shiphrah, and the name of the other Puah: And he said, When ye do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women, and see them upon the stools; if it be a son, then ye shall kill him: but if it be a daughter, then she shall live.” (Exodus 1:15,16) “And Pharaoh charged all his people, saying, Every son that is born ye shall cast into the river, and every daughter ye shall save alive.” (Exodus 1:22) This is very sad and caused many Hebrew men and women to weep for days for their children who were murdered.

God heard the cries of the Hebrews and the Egyptians would also have to deal with losing their firstborn son also in death as they did unto the Hebrews. It is written, “and Moses said, Thus saith the Lord, About midnight will I go out into the midst of Egypt: And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the first born of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts. And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like it any more.” (Exodus 11:4-6) This had to happen, for God renders vengeance to His adversaries/enemies. They may inflict pain upon His people, but they will also be afflicted in a similar or worse fashion by God also. The Lord God said, “rejoice, O ye nations, with his people: for he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land, and to his people.” (Deuteronomy 32:43) Anybody who messes around with God and His people will have to pay for their crimes in this life or the next. Amen.

Let us pray:
Father, who art in heaven, I know that You are God and have the power to do all things in heaven and on earth. You have kept me alive these many years and have also caused me to not be in too much pain or anguish, though I sinned against You. You saw my potential and my desires to get right with You, and through Your mercy, I became clean through Your blood. Sure, some people are afflicted because of sickness, pain, and other things, in order to wake them up to get right with You. Some of them get very sick when it comes to getting AIDs, HIV, and other STDs because of sexual sins, including homosexuality. In all things, we deserve the wrath You pour out upon us, especially if we resist getting right with You. You are a God of vengeance and we need to learn to fear You in order to be saved. People cannot keep living a life that they believe is right and still think they can be accepted in Your presence when they die. I know that in heaven, no evil thing can exist. So how can anybody think they can just believe in You, Jesus, but still willfully sin? This is not unto salvation. All this makes no sense and I rebuke these lies from the enemy. I trust in You, God, for salvation instead. I love You. Amen.
