Offerings Given For The Tabernacle

In the building of the tabernacle, two specific people are mentioned, of whom God trusted the most along with Moses. Because of their heart’s desire to do God’s will and to serve Him, they are named outright. Others God did a work also, of whom were wise-hearted men that were on the lord’s side too. In this case, God put wisdom and understanding in them that they may do exactly as God commanded to the “t”. It is written, “then wrought Bezaleel and Aholiab, and every wise hearted man, in whom the Lord put wisdom and understanding to know how to work all manner of work for the service of the sanctuary, according to all that the Lord had commanded. And Moses called Bezaleel and Aholiab, and every wise hearted man, in whose heart the Lord had put wisdom, even every one whose heart stirred him up to come unto the work to do it.” (Exodus 36:1,2) God works in the same way today. Anybody who is on His side and is seeking His face on a daily basis He uses mightily in His kingdom. God’s wisdom and understanding is also given to us, in order to do His will as it is in heaven. God wants to use us for His kingdom, however, only few people step up to the plate on a frequent basis.

What is awesome about the time of the building of the tabernacle is how much people gave. You can see everything that people offered and then used for the tabernacle starting in Exodus, chapter 35, and through Exodus, chapter 40. As for chapter 36, Moses received all the offerings and began the work of the sanctuary. Everyone who was on God’s side brought their own offering, of which was needed willfully. Nothing was given out of regret. It is written, “and they received of Moses all the offering, which the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of the sanctuary, to make it withal. And they brought yet unto him free offerings every morning. And all the wise men, that wrought all the work of the sanctuary, came every man from his work which they made; And they spake unto Moses, saying, The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work, which the Lord commanded to make.” (Exodus 36:3-5) The same can be said for true believers in our time who give to their church, charities, homeless/shelters, missions, and more. God sees our true intentions and rewards us accordingly. Everything you offer for God’s sake is well received in His sight. Amen.

Let us pray:
Oh Lord, I pray that You will not only use me but many more people on the earth today in Your kingdom. I pray that every person who says they believe in You will also step up to the plate in order to be filled with the Holy Spirit also. Then, will they begin to do Your will as it is in heaven, for Your presence will be with them. There is so much more we could be doing for Your sake. Many places around the world have few, if not no Christians, and that could easily change if people would allow You to move in their lives. It does take a lot of boldness to step out into places that are unknown, and possibly hostile. But the moment that we open our mouths and share the gospel with others, You fill us with the words to speak to people. Never have You let us down when we step out in faith. The same goes for people who give money towards their church, missions, and other places. You are the giver of all things and I don’t fear going broke if my only intention is to use my money for Your kingdom. I once focused on my fleshly needs and I got into a lot of trouble with my money. It is so different when I use my money for Your sake, God. I love to help churches and people alike. I love You, Lord. I trust in You. Amen.
