13th Article Of Faith In Mormonism Exposed

We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

1 Corinthians 13:4,5

1 Corinthians 13:4,5 (KJV)
4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

1 Corinthians 13:4-6

1 Corinthians 13:4-6 (KJV)
4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

Stand Fast In The Faith

It is important, as Christians, to stand fast in the faith. Let charity abound in our lives, and truly love the Lord Jesus.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (KJV)
4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

Charity

Charity causes us to do acts of kindness towards others. We do this also as a humble servant of God, not looking for recognition.

A House Divided In Marriage

Only Jesus can help there to be peace and love in your home. Without Him, there is often contention and unnecessary grief.

God’s Form Of Charity In Us

I have mentioned charity and kindness today, and will now describe a great example of a person who showed God’s love to an individual.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 (KJV)
4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

1 Corinthians 13:1,2

1 Corinthians 13:1,2 (KJV)
1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

The Fruits Of The Spirit

Our belief in God is the first step of following Him. Our openness to God allows Him to pour into us and give us wisdom.

The Gifts Of The Spirit

Some of you may recognize the gifts of the Spirit in your life, and others not so much. For me, God has given me the gift of wisdom, knowledge, faith, and to discern spirits.

Love Is The Most Important Gift

Let the Lord’s love fill our hearts. For Jesus loves us and wants to reign in us. Wouldn’t it be nice if all people could love Him.

Unconditional Love

Unconditional love continues when children have gone astray. It continues when your spouse has fallen under an addiction.
