God Is Not Happy With Willful Sinners

Jesus said, “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

2 Samuel 10:1,2

2 Samuel 10:1,2 (KJV)
1 And it came to pass after this, that the king of the children of Ammon died, and Hanun his son reigned in his stead.
2 Then said David, I will shew kindness unto Hanun the son of Nahash, as his father shewed kindness unto me. And David sent to comfort him by the hand of his servants for his father. And David’s servants came into the land of the children of Ammon.

David Was Being Kind Like Jesus

Jesus is our example of being loving and kind to everyone He came across. He even taught this concept to us when he said, “and as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.

2 Samuel 9:1-3

2 Samuel 9:1-3 (KJV)

2 And there was of the house of Saul a servant whose name was Ziba. And when they had called him unto David, the king said unto him, Art thou Ziba? And he said, Thy servant is he.
3 And the king said, Is there not yet any of the house of Saul, that I may shew the kindness of God unto him? And Ziba said unto the king, Jonathan hath yet a son, which is lame on his feet.

God’s Form Of Charity In Us

I have mentioned charity and kindness today, and will now describe a great example of a person who showed God’s love to an individual.

2 Samuel 8:14,15

2 Samuel 8:14,15 (KJV)
14 And he put garrisons in Edom; throughout all Edom put he garrisons, and all they of Edom became David’s servants. And the Lord preserved David whithersoever he went.
15 And David reigned over all Israel; and David executed judgment and justice unto all his people.

David also slew the Syrians in war, which were also against him, after sending out his men in “a thousand chariots, and seven hundred horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen.” (2 Samuel 8:4)

2 Samuel 7:20-22

2 Samuel 7:20-22 (KJV)
20 And what can David say more unto thee? for thou, Lord God, knowest thy servant.
21 For thy word’s sake, and according to thine own heart, hast thou done all these great things, to make thy servant know them.

Now, if you thought that David stopped dancing and worshiping God after all this happened with the ark of the covenant, then you are mistaken.

19 And David enquired of the Lord, saying, Shall I go up to the Philistines? wilt thou deliver them into mine hand? And the Lord said unto David, Go up: for I will doubtless deliver the Philistines into thine hand.

David’s Wives And Concubines

We are to help those in need, not do harm to them. Also, as Christians, we are to live moral lives in the sight of God. God hates pornography, fornication, and adultery.

David Had Children From Six Wives

Since the beginning of time, God said, “therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.” (Genesis 2:24)

2 So David went up thither, and his two wives also, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail Nabal’s wife the Carmelite.
3 And his men that were with him did David bring up, every man with his household: and they dwelt in the cities of Hebron.
4 And the men of Judah came, and there they anointed David king over the house of Judah. And they told David, saying, That the men of Jabeshgilead were they that buried Saul.

The story continues with David finding out who buried Saul and blessed the Lord for their kindness.
