Matthew 6:19,20

Matthew 6:19,20 (KJV)
19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

Seek God First

Remember that the best things in life come from God and not what we can or others can do for us. So seek God’s hand in all that you do.

Forgiving Our Enemies

It is important that we learn to forgive as God forgives us. And in doing this, we will learn to love as God loves us, for this is doing as Jesus taught us.

Matthew 6:33

Matthew 6:33 (KJV)
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

How To Seek God First In Our Lives

What is important in life, in order to be on the right path, is that we change our environment that we are in. This is how we can stop willfully sinning.

Matthew 6:33,34

Matthew 6:33,34 (KJV)
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Seek First The Kingdom Of God

So my question for you all is, do you even want to be saved? If so, then you should know what to do with your life?

Matthew 6:19-21

Matthew 6:19-21 (KJV)
19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Are You Living For God Or This World?

It is true that what you are doing with your life now is either drawing you to God or away from Him. This is why most people that I am even speaking to now are on the path of destruction and don’t even realize it.

Priorities In Life

So what does it look like to trust in God with our whole heart? Well, it means doing as He commands us and giving up things that are holding us back from following Him.

When Marriage Is Hard

Counseling is an option when our marriage is on the rocks. This is especially true if your spouse is willing to go down this road. Re-courting our spouse also helps.

Matthew 6:22-24

Matthew 6:22-24 (KJV)
22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!
24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Making Time For God

You know what’s interesting? These people that don’t make time for God are also very wicked. Not only do they have idols in their lives, because of the things I’ve mentioned, but they willfully sin as well.

Matthew 6:7,8

Matthew 6:7,8 (KJV)
7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

Jesus Said To Not Recite Prayers

As we discussed above, I could stop here and say that Catholics are the only ones that have issues repeating prayers, but that is not the case.

Matthew 6:12-15

Matthew 6:12-15 (KJV)
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Simply Forgiving As God Forgives Us

So was forgiveness given to Joseph’s brothers, even after all they had done to him? The question can be answered in Genesis, chapter 50, starting with verses 15, through 21.

Grudges And Forgiving When It Is Hard

Please know that the moment that Joseph insisted that his brothers bring his younger brother down to Egypt, before they could buy any food, is when His walls were still up in full force against them.

Are You A True Christian?

It is clear that when Jesus says our whole body is in darkness, if He is not a part of it, that this should mean something to us.

Lead Us Not Into Temptation

Jesus explained what it takes to follow Him. He said, “he that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.”

Forgive

Surely, when God speaks, we ought to pay attention. His counsel is much wiser than our own and is the only way we will be on the right path.

Matthew 6:31-33

Matthew 6:31-33 (KJV)
31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Matthew 6:9-13

Matthew 6:9-13 (KJV)
9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Learn From God And His Word

Though a person of faith may desire to come to learn from God, Satan uses many different things to deter them.

Matthew 6:14,15

Matthew 6:14,15 (KJV)
14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Come Out Of The Evils Of This World

Do not fall victim to the evils of this world but put your trust in God. God is calling you out. He says, My daughter and “my son, attend unto my wisdom, and bow thine ear to my understanding.”

Earnest Prayers To God

In your prayers and worship, acknowledge that the Lord is all powerful. He surely is mighty and can do all things for our lives.
